Trees through the fog on a winter morning.
Winter in Hobart, Tasmania.
Just ‘hanging around home’!
steaming fumeroles with the mists of dawn, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, USA the burned tree in the foreground shows what most of the trees farther back look like. they are remnants of the tremendous naturally caused burn of 1988, when more than 300,000 hectares went up in flames. as you can see, it has taken 20 years for the reforesting process to reach this stage. nikon D200
Is it a bat? No it’s a bird, a batty bird maybe, but a bird. Possibly the Rook with the highest IQ in the Rookery this morning… If I were a Rook, I’d definitely be that guy… :) Clonroche, County Wexford, early one morning before Sunrise in December. / Minimally processed RAW to jpeg conversion with Picasa 3.

Looking West across the River Trent to the Cottham Power Station as the first precious rays of golden Winter sun break the horizon. Under such a vast, clear and crisp sky even a concrete blot of that magnitute seemed somehow beautiful…
I was walking my dogs on the banks of the river Avon and saw the boats sat on the mud, the mud look a little silver in the misty light. It was a beautifully crisp cold morning
The fog and trees are the perfect backdrop for the cat-tails that have survived the winter. Photo was taken in Nampa, Idaho. An Olympus 55OUZ camera with 18x optical zoom. Auto setting

Freezing fog morning. Malvern Hills, Worcestrshire, United Kingdom. Everything was covered with frost crystals that morning, it was amazing sight. Unfortunately the mist has risen quickly above the tops of the Hills and everything got back to freezing greyness.
I love early morning sky – these were the true colors. Winter is hard on the prairies, but if the leaves hadn’t all fallen off I would have never seen this!!!
A cold, misty winter morning, the sun just starting to break through to promise a perfect, crisp day. Watercolours on paper.
