One of my favourite portraits of my Dad, doing what he loves more then anything else in the world fishing. If he could he’d spend every day fishing, as it is he sometimes wets a line three or four times a day. On this occasion I decided to get up early and document him enjoying his sport. This is the result, it has special sentimental value to me, but I felt like sharing it as something different to what I’ve been posting recently.

On a frosty june morning I found myself to the top of a local range near Geranium in the Souther Mallee looking at one of the most brilliant sunrise’s I have ever seen. The warm glow of the sun across the clouds and the shifting light made me forget about the the freezing temperatures I was working in.

Dawn at Garie Beach, Royal National Park just south of Sydney, Australia. A seagull very obligingly flew into shot as I was taking this. Can you spot the silhouetted fishermen? / I’m lucky enough to live in one of the most beautiful landscapes I’ve ever seen – it’s only a little national park (14,000 ha) but the variety of stuff to photograph is simply endlessly inspiring. Well this is my favorite photograph taken at the holy beach of somnath,Gujrat in India. Very early morning I was taking the photograph of sea & fortunately I caught a gentleman praying to sea & sun. That person really added life to this photograph.

Top Featured Piece Of The Day in the Live, Love, Dream group, 12th Nov, 2008. / Featured in the Rivers, Lakes and Dams group, 12th Nov, 2008. Early one January morning, I got out of bed before dawn and headed in to London and the Thames. I knew where I wanted to get the shot from. I set up the tripod and camera and waited. I hoped the sun would be visible, but had nothing more to base the possibility on other than the sky had been red at sunset the night before. My luck was in!

In my home town there’s a church,ONE restaurant,a grocery store …oh !!! and a hardware store …..and a church,a restaur…you know all that,it’s not that I’m not proud of my small village but my real home is what’s arround it,the forest…with my dog Tchoko,of course,on a foggy morning,having a great time in the parc of the Biology Center of the University of Montreal…..summer time ….St-Hippolyte,Quebec,Canada.. /

Caught ‘up the sware’ (a local viewpoint) at dawn yesterday ( 23/9/08) as the sun rose over the tweed valley just outside Peebles, scottish borders. An especially heartwarming sight after the wet grey summer we’ve had … and it’s straight from my Nikon 4800 coolpix compact camera, untouched. ;))) See also mist in the valley taken at the same time ! and also front row seat cheers all / ding / :))

Early morning light shines through eucalytus trees. This was actually taken from my son’s backyard in San Diego.

The sun is rising in the forest and all of the creatures that like to rise before dawn, start to magically appear in the morning light. The mist starts to rise and the birds call to one another. It is all so beautiful and breath taking to behold. We are constant witnesses of the glory of creation and its magical mysteries, one of our true gifts as the lucky beings that inhabit planet earth. Original background image taken at Union Creek off of highway 62 in Southern Oregon. / Working with layers in photoshop, all deer were added as composites. The forest already had light rays slanting into it, I increased the light to look like sunrise by using the photoshop filter, render and using omni then increasing the light until I was happy with it.
