Whilst traveling in the north of Namibia in a 4wd, we could go almost a whole day without seeing anyone. We’d set our tent up in the middle of nowhere, wash in streams amongst desert elephants and wake up to wildlife surrounding us. Seeing animals in a NP like the Serenghetti is thrilling, but to enjoy it without another tourist in site for miles is a different experience altogether and one of the most exciting to date.

Rock formations at low tide. Taken with my 5D and the EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM lens. This is a 82mm lens and I am currently using Cokin Filters (handheld).....uuuuurrgh. I am very keen to get a Lee Neutral Density Filter set. If you have this setup I would be very interested to hear from you what experiences you have made in regards to vignetting and what Lee components you have mounted on your lens. Thanks heaps

BEST VIEWED LARGER / This shot was taken at Dawn from the building I work in it shows in the North Sydney CBD. The Sydney Harbour Bridge links the North Sydney CBD with the Sydney CBD. The shot was taken using a Nikon D300, Nikon 18 – 200mm lens , for any Nikononians the 18-200mm lens is wonderful it comes in handy as a all purose lens. The shot was created from 3 exposures and processed with Photomatix HDR software. So continues my exploration of HDR.. its fun

I wanted to get a photograph the waterfalls in Pontneddfechan, Wales. I did some research, planned my route in the GPS and packed my kit. The chap in the waterfall centre was very helpful and was keen to tell me the proper welsh name of the waterfalls. I smiled and nodded, I still don’t have a clue to this day what he was talking about. Unfortunately I lost the map I bought and stupidly brought along my bicycle for quick access. Bad move. I had to carry my bicycle for most of the 10 miles round trip and also had to transverse a waterfall as I got stuck on the wrong side of the river and watched a load of guys in wetsuits try to walk behind the waterfalls and fail. All good fun. / This is my first attempt at taking wateralls so please be gentle. Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 50mm, f/20, 2.5 sec, ISO 50. ND filter used. A pretty stormy evening in Clevedon, UK so I fancied capturing some timed exposures and hoped to not get too wet. This time I had my tripod, I hope you like it. Greeting Cards / Framed Print / Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 24mm, f/11, .6 sec, ISO 50100. ND 9 filter used. Photomatix conversion (first time I used it) and dust and scratches removed in photoshop, chromatic abs removed by magic brush.
