An inland water way with a difference. / This is the smooth rich red sands of the Hay River located in the wilderness area of the North Simpson Desert. / Seasonal rains create flash floods, brining life to the desert… a ribbon of life that runs from NT near Jervios through the heart of the Simpson, on toward Poepell corner near the QAA line which is normal desert crossing to Birdsville / A very rare scene experience only by a few travellers. / Taken on Fuji S2 Pro
Another beautiful day up north, Norway
The light was changing every minute. I climbed over some huge rocks to get into a great position to take some surfing shots, when suddenly this huge cloud covered up the sun. Suddenly the beautiful light illuminating the waves the surfers were riding was gone. I looked to my left and noticed the light here. Quickly, I grabbed my stuff and setup this shot…..only got one frame, because soon after this the light here was also gone. Garden Of the Gods Park, outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is without a doubt one of my all time favorite places to shoot at….the light there just dances, especially during the golden hours just after sunrise…..Pike’s Peak is in the background, with the wind blowing the snow into the sky. / Thoughts welcomed! Taken at one my favorite little hideways…North Battlecreek Resevoir, early in the morning just after sunrise and caught the mist just beginning to rise on the water. ___ All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. I only took a few shots of Loweswater Lake as this was just the starting point of my meet with Rob Hardy. As it turned out, I should have probably taken more time and effort at the lake side as we aborted our lakeside ascent because of poor visibility for taking landscape shots. Lots wrong with this shot, but it was the best of the bunch and the green surface of the lake just lifts the shot IMHO :-)
i was up to great the sun

It managed to shield me from the gale force winds for a while if nothing else.
BEST VIEWED LARGER / This shot was taken at Dawn from the building I work in it shows in the North Sydney CBD. The Sydney Harbour Bridge links the North Sydney CBD with the Sydney CBD. The shot was taken using a Nikon D300, Nikon 18 – 200mm lens , for any Nikononians the 18-200mm lens is wonderful it comes in handy as a all purose lens. The shot was created from 3 exposures and processed with Photomatix HDR software. So continues my exploration of HDR.. its fun
Whitby Abbey taken at 4:30 am (yawn). The first light of the day from the rising sun gave this amazing glow to the stones of this ancient building bringing it to life. Whitby is a wonderful seaside town along the North Yorkshire coast of England. This is a fascinating place to visit. HP PhotoSmart C945 bridge camera / f/5.6 / 1/60, / exposure bias -.67 / Used a tripod
Had a wedding to attend a couple of weeks ago which gave me the opportunity to find a new area too shoot. So while my wife slept in I ventured up to Mt. Baker for Dawn and this was my reward. Kulshan Ridge Reflecting in the still waters of Picture Lake near Mt. Baker

FEATURED IN LIVE AND LET LIVE – October 3, 2009 My hubby, Homer Steedly, took this awesome shot just before the sunrise over the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina as he was hiking in the area. This photo was taken from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Even though it looks like we added layers digitally, this is really the way the Blue Ridge Mountains look! Especially when the morning light is highlighting the distance mountains.
This dreamy glade in Pisgah National Forest, Western North Carolina, gave me the feeling of being in two worlds at once – the “normal” world we live in and also a world filled with faeries, gnomes and is that a troll hiding in the forest?? I added the Orton effect with PhotoShop to give it an even more dream-like quality and enhanced the colors. This was taken in the early morning hours just after the sun rose. Someone suggested I take my most popular image on Red Bubble / and fractualize it…this is what I ended up with. Thank you Bubble friend.
Up and about early this morning with a promise of wonderful light, it did not disapoint !! This is a view of Marsden Rock, South Shields in the North East of England, on the beach was just me and a guy walking his dog, a great way to start the day !!!!
So I recently returned back to one of my favorite sites to photograph. This is the Whalehead Hunt Club in Currituck, North Carolina. Currituck Lighthouse is also visible on the left. This particular morning was just beautiful, very rare to have hardly any wind coming across Currituck Sound. The reflection turned out awesome, in my opinion. Image has been processed through Redynamix for the HDR look and also had the Orton effect applied. Best viewed in large. / Image made with tripod mounted Nikon D200, Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8, remote shutter release.
What can I say … Sometimes it all does come together perfect. I absolutely love how this turned out, hope you do as well. Image made with a Nikon D200 And Tokina 12-24mm lens. Slight touch of HDR post processing applied, converted to Sepia Tones in Adobe Digital Lightroom.
I had to get lost in Otane fog to find enlightenment .
