  • SO, do something – remind all the good people!

  • He sits proudly / Look at him sitting there on his high Ass. His silly hat and coat that barely covers his own ass. He enjoys his prize, and we all don’t.

  • Another stab at christianity! I can’t help it! It sold well as a xmas card one year, with ‘Season’s greetings’ written across the top. This is the colour version of the image already in my gallery, drawn in ink and coloured in photoshop.

  • A journey is a symbol of transition, change or evolution which is expressed in countless myths and legends where a hero undertakes a journey beset with physical and moral trials. In psychology a journey may symbolise the quest for self-discovery. To my sister with thanks for all her support, care and love. Acrylic inks, pigment and gold leaf / Music – Fantasia (1940) – Ave Maria / For M

  • This path tells us of the truth that is lying in each one of us and helps us uncover our faith in a higher power that is expressing itself within us. For Spike to realise that it is so simple.

A range of symbolism that reflects the patriarchal nature of most traditional cultures. Some supreme gods of myth and religion are personified as fathers. • In my ramblings around the countryside here I am continually amazed at the things I find. A friend told me about an abandoned church building not too far from town. The other evening my wife and I decided to go in search of it. I was expecting to find an empty building, falling in, sitting back in the middle of the woods. Nope there she sat on a paved stretch of county road a just a few scant miles from town. The cemetery was well kept and the building was plainly visible on three sides. The church is complete with all the pews and a piano. The pulpit has fallen over as has the piano and half the pews are sinking into the earth from the floor rotting, due to the weather coming in through the un-repaired roof and broken window panes. I don’t know when this church was built but the oldest stones in the cemetery are from the late 1840’s. I have been told it was most probably an Amish, Mennonite or Reformed Friends (Quaker) church, as it has a partition down the center to divide the men from the women.

  • A Horse and an Mule were travelling together, the Horse prancing along in its / fine trappings, the Mule carrying with difficulty the heavy weight in its panniers.  / “I wish I were you,” sighed the Mule; “nothing to do and well fed, and all that / fineharness upon you.”  / Next day, however, there was a great battle, and the Horse was wounded to / death in the final charge of the day. His friend, the Mule, happened to pass by / shortly afterwards and found him on the point of death.  / “I was wrong,” said the Mule: / Better humble security than gilded danger

  • An Aesop’s Fable / Aesop’s Fables or Aesopica refers to a collection of / fables credited to Aesop (620–560 BC), a slave and / story-teller who lived in Ancient Greece. Aesop’s / Fables have become a blanket term for collections of / brief fables, usually involving anthropomorphic ani- / mals. / His fables are some of the most well known in the / world. The fables remain a popular choice for moral / education of children today. Many stories included in / Aesop’s Fables, such as The Fox and the Grapes / (from which the idiom “sour grapes” was derived), / The Tortoise and the Hare, The North Wind and the / Sun and The Boy Who Cried Wolf, are well-known / throughout the world.

  • Web spun from tangled silk of lies / Woven from truth held in disguise / Where trust ensnared, betrayed it dies / No greater thing do I despise / / Web better built from silk of gold / Woven from truth all can behold / Where trust is free, instead of sold / No greater thing when truth is told / / So earn my trust, earn my respect / Tell me not truths that are suspect / For if false truth I do detect / Then trust from you I can’t expect / / This fractal artwork was inspired by an old quotation from Sir Walter Scott about lying that went ‘Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practice to deceive’. My biggest pet peave are liars, and always has been. The artwork depicts how a lie can go on to exponentially effect the lives of others to whom the lie is passed. / / The greatest example currently is the war in Iraq, which was started from a lie to the American public by it’s leader that Iraq had stockpiled ‘weapons of mass destruction’ and intended to use them. This one lie has devastated families and ruined economies across the globe. / / The greatest thing I respect in an individual is their ability to be honest, as then I can grant them the trust that all other things in the relationship will bloom from. So always remember this quotation, as well as, another old adage that says ‘The truth shall set you free!’. / / This fractal artwork was created in Apophysis. The original is 6000×6000 pixels at 300 pixels per inch. The fractal gradient was created with ApoMap, a gradient editor commonly used with Apophysis. Because the original is so large and difficult to see over the internet, I have included a couple of detail cutaways below. / / / / / /

  • “The cardinal virtues were derived initially from Plato’s scheme which also includes piety (hosiotes)) and adapted by Saint Ambrose, Augustine of Hippo, and Thomas Aquinas (see Summa Theologica). The term “cardinal” comes from the Latin cardo or hinge; the cardinal virtues are so called because they are hinges upon which the door of the moral life swings.” (Wikipedia Encyclopedia)

  • I came up with this image after being inspired from watching one of my favorite horror movies; James Whale’s Frankenstein. This lead me to read the Novel by Mary Wollstonecroft Shelley which is now one of my fav books! My heart was fashioned to be susceptible of love and sympathy, and when wrenched by misery to vice and hatred, it did not endure the violence of the change without torture such as you cannot even imagine.
