  • This is one of my personal favourites, hope you like it too. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——-

  • Sydney is not only blessed by a beautiful coastline providing us with countless beaches, but also some of these beaches have a “rock pool” at the headland. These rock pools provide a great place for the locals to take a dip in the ocean without the waves. Photo Taken: 19-Nov-2006 / Time: 6am / Conditions: Calm, beautiful pre dawn….   /   /   /   /   /   /   /   /   /   /   /   Some other seascape art: / /   /   / /   /   /

  • We all know that the sun and the moon will never met being on opposite position but what if….. / A double layers. / Friends at last ,they meet on the cosy clouds and stay friends forever. / This idea came to me from a song that my mother used to sing when I was young about a rendez-vous between the moon and the sun that never happenned because the two of them were always waiting for one another.Charles Trenet,my mom’s idole was singing that song… / «Le soleil a rendez-vous avec la lune mais la lune n’est pas là et le soleil l’attend »A wonderful card to say that nothing is impossible when you’re in love. / / / / /

  • I love fog I love the moon…what a fantastic dream to have them together… / One of my first double layers with Picasa,an experience I’ve tried, the moon is much to big but I liked the spooky mood…... :))....2 photos,a moon and a foggy night. The tittle came to me thinking about «Moonstruck» the movie with Sher when the old italian couple were looking outside the window by full moon .They were so much in love and it was so touching… / /

  • I was driving along a road in a seaside town at Jervis Bay National Park, just 2.5 hours south of Sydney Australia when I glimpsed this moon through some trees with a pathway of silver light across the water. A lucky moment, in that all the elements were there but tricky in putting them together because it was so dark I couldn’t see anything through the viewfinder and had to keep taking pics, viewing them on the LCD display and then moving the tripod to get the composition I wanted. / It looks to me like the trees on either side of the moon are partners about to dance onto the floor of some enchanted ballroom. Information for Sold! Group – Sold as a framed print to a work colleague and a laminated print to a mystery buyer off RB plus 9 cards off RB. Canon 30 D / Tv: 10 secs / Av: f/4.5 / ISO: 100

  • This composite was made specialy for a the “chaos” challenge last year.I just let myself go and tried something different from what I use to do.I had a old picture from my trip in France when I went skiing in the Alps. The black stain at the left is,in fact,a restaurant at the “Trois Vallées” resort and you also can see the skier’s traces on the snow…. :)) I did a double layer with a shot of the moon taken with my Panasonic FZ-20…some coloring “et voilà”.....just for fun….

  • Poor Moonhead.

  • A Baying Wolf, is a sad and haunting sound you dont hear anymore, to me it seems as though they knew long ago it would come to this pass, hence their howling started. A rare sound indeed. / Wolves are an endangered species and have been hunted for centuries and nearly extinct, hopefull through careful conservation these beautiful beasts will be around forever and everyone can hear their special song. A pastel picture, I try to do art with heART. Dawn’s website / zazzle / / / / / For other items see my Zazzle site under DawnMcininch I an honored by such a beautifully writtenPeom By Dawnsky2 ( laura redmond), please check out lauras magical gallery. / dawnsky2 Forgotton Song I watch her from a distance / There she sits, upon the hill / Silhouetted against the dying sun. / Whatever happened to their existence? / Whoever caused their blood to spill? / And now, what is done is done. On the rise her head lifts / The breeze takes the howl adrift / As she cries, for the life of her pack. / The mournful sound of loss and grief / Is carried upon rustling leaves. / For what is done, is done / And there’s no going back. For a moment, in the Golden haze / She sees me from where I stand / And from the depths of my heart I feel her pain. / With pride she holds my gaze. / Her Forgotten song goes unheard to some. / But I hear her all the same. I close my eyes. / Her words are soft and wise. / One single tear adorns my cheek, / As she finds the words she wants to speak, / She tells me the story of the Forgotten Song. With that, she appears before me / No longer is she upon the hill I see. / I reach down to touch her, / She is not real / But I feel the warmth and life in her fur. She allowed me this moment of insight / Before she fled back to the night. / And suddenly, / Under my fingers was no longer the softness of her fur / But just the gentle spirit of her / And of the Forgotten Song. / For what is done, is done. Many thanks to Laura for this beautifully written poem

  • Taken on the same night as these two (just click on the pics): / / This second pic has a link to an animated time lapse version of the whole storm – 91 photos linked into a sequence so you get to see the whole storm in 23 seconds. Storm off Bundeena Cliffs, Royal National Park just south of Sydney Australia. / This shot has all my favourite elements in one image – the moon, stars, lightning, storm clouds, ocean and moonlit rocks. What a treat this night was – getting some fantastic storms here. This is about the sixth I’ve photographed. / Canon 1Ds MkIII – 16-35mm f/2.8 LII USM lens / Tv: 30secs / Av: f/3.2 / ISO: 200 / FL: 27mm / Here’s another couple of crops of the same image: #1 / #2 /

  • Definitely worth clicking on the photo to see it large. Part of the Raging Stillness series this is a blend of 10 X 30 second exposures taken as part of a series of 110 sequential images during a particularly lovely night storm we had a little while ago. You’re looking at 5minutes of the storm at its height. The lines above the storm are startrails and the reflection in the water is from the full moon (out of shot). / Taken off Bundeena Cliffs, Royal National Park, just south of Sydney Australia. / This is a tiny section from the original photograph – being able to blow up such a small part of the image to A3 is where the 1Ds and the L series Canon lenses come into their own. / Canon 1Ds MkIII – 16-35mm f/2.8 LII USM lens / Tv: 30secs / Av: f/3.2 / ISO: 200 / FL: 27mm Oh wow how cool – Rob Mullner nominated Raging Stillness for the briliant Pay it Forward Group with this comment: “Having tried my darndest to get lightning shots with mixed results and success, I know how hard it is to nail it perfectly…This shot really highlights the awesome power of storms, technically perfect and a difficult element of nature to photograph – so hats off to your Geoff for this and these series of shots, and your work in general….Rob. Thanks heaps Rob. Taken on the same night as these two (just click on the pics): This second pic has a link to an animated time lapse version of the whole storm – 91 photos linked into a sequence so you get to see the whole storm in 23 seconds.

  • Watercolor and pencil on illustration board, / 10×8 / 2009 Model: Adhara Batul One of the Greek myths I adore the most, for its incredible strength, poetry and significance, is the myth of Persephone. In Greek mythology, Persephone was the goddess of the underworld and of the Spring growth. Daughter of Demeter, goddess of the harvest, she was abducted by Hades and taken to the land of the dead. By a determination of the Fates, she was forced to stay for two seasons each year after eating pomegranates seeds, thus becoming consort of Hades and queen of the underworld. This time I opted by depicting her sorrow and solitude after having the seeds, although there’s quite an air of resignation with her destiny.

I AM ALRIGHT. I have had to go to the Moon for reasons that will soon be apparent. Do not fear, I will be back soon, nothing is changing, all the Rooftop stuff, Things of the Week etc, everything is momentarily in stasis while I fly on my rocket. It’s as if this week has disappeared into a black hole. It no longer exists.** I will be back, PANIC NOT. Regards, Travelling Baxter **please don’t get technical on me here, I clearly don’t know what a black hole really is, or does, or why it does it. Actually I don’t care either I’m afraid.
