All through spring, I put off the flower shots. Now all I’ve got is this one, tired and withering. And yet I still find it beautiful. Even as the petals curl and fall, it delivers its most precious gift of all – the promise of the next generation. When spring returns it will be born again a hundred times over. And maybe, just maybe, I won’t wait so long to capture them.

I took this picture in my local cafe’ in Cusco…El Cafe Extra ! / I was having my breakfast when this man.. el Señor Castro came in ! / He is a local and he is a lovely and friendly person always with a big smile ! / But I caught him looking at the window for a long while in such a contemplative and sad mood ! I had the time to get my camera and take this photograph ! It wasn’t an easy one..there was not much light and the exposure was 1/20 second ! But I just love his expression ! This is a first of its kind for me.. Found some time to play.. I liked the fog and ferns.. Then I thought a rising lotus to bring out a thought of hope for mother earth.. There is so much talent out there for this type of special edit art.. I am just starting to crawl but will work down the road to play again.. Hope you enjoy.. A very peaceful little spot with a nice view on Kooragang Island in New South Wales. It’s very representative of the wild Australian Bush, but not too far away from the city at all – only 20 minutes to the heart of the city.
