  • This was taken in Monument Valley. A virtually cloudless sky, except for the shadow this one casts. I saw this picture coming and had to hurry to get it. I like it as it is odd, but it does not send the serene message many of my photos send.

  • This is a photograph of Cabot Tower on Signal Hill In St. John’s Newfoundland. The Fog rolls in off the ocean and completely saturates the landscape and hides the existence of mankind. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /

  • This is outside some shops in inner Cambridge /

  • I am not religious, at all, but i do find religious things interesting. / This is the city of Leeds Cathedral (well a small part of it!)

  • This Little girl and her mother came to me while i was ministering in Kujama, Nigeria. Her mother was in the latter stages of AIDS. I prayed for her and she was healed. At this Point Her daughter looked upwards, as her mother jumped from the chair and was filled with the Holy Ghost, and healed. 100% of all proceeds from sale of all my art goes toward our Charity Projects in Deep Rural Africa. • Featured in “AMERICA’s National Parks and WILDLIFE Habitat” – June 2009. A very narrow slot canyon appropriately named Spooky Gulch twists and turns for several hundred meters through a dry desert landscape. Its walls tower many meters overhead while the opening in front of you seems to get smaller and smaller. Those hikers that are both brave and thin enough to fit through will find that they are able to make it to the opposite side. At its narrowest point, the little canyon is only about 30 centimeters wide! [Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument website] [Spooky Gulch info and photos] / Copyright © 2004 Brian W. • This is a photo of part of a monument to missing people. It’s made of beaten steel with an eternal flame at the top. I took this at deep dusk, the gold is the light of the flames on the steel. I added a little more saturation and made the temperature a little colder to get the abstract effect I wanted. Albany, NY Sept 2008

  • Taken while traveling through remote Nigeria in Niger Delta Region. This young boy came running towards our vehicle and we stopped for a welcome break, after 7 hours of bumpy dusty tracks. He wanted to sell us one of his animals. I felt so sorry for him, that I give him what he asked, after being told by one of our Missionary guides he had asked the going price. I refused to take his animal, as I felt we had enough food, and he looked so thin. After this he insisted that I should visit his settlement. After much persuasion with the team We did. None had heard about Jesus and his Love. All received Jesus as Lord. We also were able to give multi-vitamin tablets to the senior elder, and he promised to give each one a Tablet every day. It was a blessing. We now have a Local Missionary who visits the settlement each week. 100% of all proceeds from sale of my art goes toward helping the extreme poor, sick and isolated in villages in Africa.. Partly paved and partly grassed, it is dominated by four great religious edifices: the Duomo, the Leaning Tower (the cathedral’s campanile), the Baptistry and the Camposanto. It is otherwise known as Piazza dei Miracoli (“Square of Miracles”). This name was created by the Italian writer and poet Gabriele d’Annunzio who, in his novel Forse che si forse che no (1910) described the square in this way: L’Ardea roteò nel cielo di Cristo, sul prato dei Miracoli. / which means: “The Ardea rotated over the sky of Christ, over the meadow of Miracles.” Often people tend to mistake the term with Campo dei Miracoli (“Field of Miracles”). This one is a fictional magical field in the book Pinocchio, where a gold coin seed will grow a money tree. In 1987 the whole square was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Church of San Carlo The church of San Carlo was consecrated to San Carlo Borromeo by Carlo Emanuele I and was begun in 1619; in the façade, projected in a later period (1834), the tympanum is decorated by a bas-relief in marble portraying Emanuele Filiberto communicated by San Carlo (by Stefano Butti). The bell tower (1779) is a square plan and the bell tower cell has an octagonal dome. The inside, with a longitudinal plan, has got a single nave with two bays with cross vaults, with two chapels for each side. The first chapel on the left, of the Addolorata, is a work of art by Tommaso Carlone, like the chapel of San Giuseppe (about 1656), which stands in front of it.

  • There are few places in Colorado that I love more than this one, and yes, it is a very iconic place, situated between Allenspark and Estes Park…and in Autumn it simply comes alive in ways I can not even begin to mention, the bushes turn a liquid gold in color, and everything resembles a painting….beauty in it’s most sincere form in Nature. I hope you all like it! / John /
