About The Blue Mosque: / The Blue Mosque is one of the most-historical places in our country & in my city, Tabriz. The Blue Mosque, in northwest of Iran, is a monument that dates to the 15th century AD. It was designed by “Nematullah Ibn Muhammad Bavvab”, architect of prince “Jahan Shah Turkoman Salimi”, one of the Ghara Ghoyunlu dynasty. The mosque has recently partly restored. It is famous for its tilework and blue marble reliefs.

The Gateway Arch, St. Louis, Missouri / / It was raining and extremely foggy, so this is the clearest shot I could get, but it just shows how high up it is to be enveloped by clouds. / / / / The Arch is the tallest national monument in the United States at 630 feet; it is the city’s best known landmark and a popular tourist attraction. / / Construction began February 12, 1963 and the last section of the Arch was put into place on October 28, 1965. / / The Arch is a structure known as a catenary curve, the shape a free-hanging chain takes when held at both ends, and considered the most structurally-sound arch shape. The span of the Arch legs at ground level is 630 feet, the same as its height. / / Each year, approximately a million visitors ride the trams to the top of the Arch. The trams have been in operation for over 30 years, traveling a total of 250,000 miles and carrying over 25 million passengers. / / The Arch weighs 17,246 tons. Nine hundred tons of stainless steel was used to build the Arch, more than any other project in history. / / The Arch was built at a cost of $13 million. The transportation system was built at a cost of $3,500,000. / / In order to ensure that the constructed legs would meet, the margin of error for failure was 1/64th of an inch. All survey work was done at night to eliminate distortion caused by the sun’s rays. Since the Arch was constructed before the advent of computer technology, relatively crude instruments were used for these measurements. / / The Arch sways a maximum of 18” (9” each way) in a 150 mph wind. The usual sway is 1/2”.

Her upper and lower limbs are bowed outwards. Yet Violet must force herself to work, or her dependants will starve. Please help us to help her and many more like her. This poem was beautifully written by a very talented poet and Writer called Adgray. God Bless you for wring this fitting piece . Does she dream of dancing and movies and fun / this girl with the faraway eyes / Has she the wish to kiss Brad Pit / Did she cry when Heath Ledger died? / What does she wish for when Christmas comes? / an ipod or mobile phone? / Does she complain there’s no chocolate again / in the fridge when she gets home. We complain we don’t have enough to survive / Money to cover our bills / and purchase the service and goods we desire / AND the luxury home in the hills / But where does it say life must be this way / That we have and she has not / That our world be of greed luxury and games / and hers of pain and hard lot. I look in the depths of these faraway eyes / and I think of my own teenage life / How I struggled with that I was expected to do / and rebelliously got into strife / I look at my own daughter of fifteen years / And know how I fiercely protect her / I support all her learnings and all her dreams / and use all my wisdom to guide her. But they are similar these girls far apart / for my daughter also cares for her home / She looks out for her younger siblings as well / and is rarely allowed to roam. And I wonder if having is really a curse / for to have not enough creates stress / equal to that of not enough food / but granted the consequence is less I shall show all my children these faraway eyes / for this girl is also one of their peers / their ages are similar their wants must compare / how I long to abate all her tears / I cannot succeed in my western world life / I struggle myself to survive / But oh how I wish I could lavish life’s gifts / On those beckoning faraway eyes. The classic Monument Valley photograph featuring the East and West Mittens and I believe Merrick Butte. This started as a color HDR image from six separate frames. Three exposures of each half were converted to HDR images and the two resulting HDR images were stitched together into a wider panoramic view for maximum detail. That was then converted to B&W for the most impact. Photo taken in Monument Valley, Utah (Navajo Territory) This image has been featured in the American Southwest group and HDR Photography group. It also recently won 1st place in a photo contest at H&H Color Lab and 4th place out of 200 entries in the B&W Landscape Challenge on DPReview.com.

Thank you to all of you who have donated and prayed for little Grace. She is now in good health and has made a great recovery. Praise God, I am so happy right now. Grace and other children who suffer so much Inspires me to work 12-14 hours per day sharing their plight with others and fund-raising.. I have not had the good fortune of ever having a salary for what I do. but God rewards me in many other ways. To see a child tat would have died now live and smile is wonderful. To empower the poor with more than just hope is what I live and work for. In Tunga/Zuga village, a remote village in Kebbe state Nigeria, there are so many children who are without ANY source of help. The village has no source of clean water, since their well collapsed in 2006. Intestinal worm infections, river Blindness, Chronic Diarrhoea, Malnutrition and other preventable diseases are killing and disabling many. We are making a difference and with your Prayers, Donations and support we can not only save their lives, refurbish the old school adn give them education. If it had not been for your prayers and donations for Grace, she would certainly have died. I am deeply thankful to you all. She died on Monday Monday 6th July at 4.35am. our Medical officer [pastor Joshua] and his wife our senior nurse were with her. We just did not have the money to pay for her hospital treatment. Although we pleaded with the hospital Senior medical team, they said they needed $1800 to cover the operation and after-care. Thank you to everyone who was praying for Anna. She is now at peace with our Lord. Please pray for Joan and Samuel, her parents. This was their last born child. Thus the village’s name would be linked to its most famous product, Vernaccia, the local wine. Others maintain that the place name comes from a Latin predial, Vulnetia, indicating a family that owned land. • 1080: the first mention of the village dates to a deed of gift by Albert IV Rufo, grandson of Adalbert II of the Obertenghi family, drawn up in castro Vernazio, i.e. the castle of Vernazza. • 1207: the lords of Vernazza submit to Genoa. • 1242: the inhabitants of Vernazza drive back Frederick II’s troops led by his deputy Oberto Pallavicino. • 1254: in the Cathedral of Santa Reparata in Florence, Florentine judges concede Vernazza to Genoa, together with all lands and castles situated between the Magra river and Genoa itself. • 1310: date of the earliest documents referring to the Church of Santa Margherita di Antiochia. • 1874: the railway line between Genoa and La Spezia is completed, putting an end to the village’s centuries-old isolation. • 1997: UNESCO places Vernazza, together with the other four towns of the Cinque Terre, on its “world heritage” list.

Gardener’s cottage, in West Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh, Scotland. Princes Street Gardens were acquired by the city in 1876 and further landscaped by the City Architect Robert Morham (1839 -1912). Morham also built the Gardener’s cottage in 1886. To the right of the cottage is the semicircle of rectangular standing stones depicting the history of the Royal Scots Regiment. The central stone is inscribed with names of the campaigns in which the Regiment took part and a central bronze plaque shows the insignia of George VI. The memorial was unveiled on 5th August 1952 by HRH Princess Mary, the Colonel in Chief. The final stone was unveiled on 9th of May 2007 by HRH Princess Ann to commemorate the end of the Regiment. Behind the Royal Scots memorial you can see the stately towers of New College on The Mound and to the right of this is The Hub, at the top of Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. Its gothic spire – the highest point in central Edinburgh – towers over the surrounding buildings, including the adjacent castle. This is Hubbards Hills in Louth, Lincolnshire showing all the colours of autumn. / Hubbard’s Hills is a glacial overspill channel formed as the last ice ended about 40,000 years ago. A marginal lake of meltwater trapped between glacial ice sheet and the Lincolnshire Wolds spilled over a chalk ridge and gouged a steep sided valley with a flat bottom.
