  • LITHUANIA / The woks exhibited represent the linkup of two artists, a photographer and a sculptor. Such an attempt to blend two spheres of art is really innovative and a bit unexpected. There had been few who were successful in such an attempt. Both authors, blending their art by the means of the photo art, are the winners. Sculpture, as such, is rather a static art, sometimes “performing” in a specific, sometimes artificial, environment. However, the means of the plastic photography, seemingly, make the sculptures movable, dynamic; they make you feel the sculptures are moving. They become alive, start moving and react both to the environment and the views captured by the photographer. I would like the viewers also note the colour solutions of the photos, aimed at the strengthening of the overall impression of the imagery. The original blend and overlapping of two arts let see the impressive plastic metaphors, giving birth to various associations. /

  • This is a montage of about 150 photos shot with a Sony Cybershot P200. This was the delight that we inherited when we brought our house. The bath alone was a wonderful centre piece we particularly enjoyed the shower controls located outside the bath on the wall. The louvred door was entertaining as it had been put on the wrong way so you could see through the slates into the bathroom…. We had great pleasure knocking it all out right back to the brick and starting again. Now I dedicate this piece to the memory of our bathroom….May it memories live with us as a reminder of what not to do…...amen. / / Let me know what you think of my image. All feedback is appreciated.

  • The birds started to screech one evening. / No rhyme or reason to it. / The wind picked up, trees bending in homage. The villagers shuttered their windows and looked to their rosaries. / Fires were poked and stoked. / Candles were lit, casting flickery shadows in small spaces. She walked swiftly, wrapped up well against the cold, keeping close to the walls. It was done, and he was gone. Good riddance to him.

  • This is the first time I have put this image up for viewing or for sale. It is an amazing image that has taken me many hours of work to complete. It is a womans face made up of over Nine thousand (yes 9000) individual images, all toned to match the features on her beautiful face. Unusually all the images are of breasts and lingerie of every colour, shape and size you could imagine. To be view properly it has to be as large as possible…I have personally printed it up to A0…but even at A1 it looks amazing…it is a true conversational piece! The image that will be uploaded with this image shows just the detail around the eye.

  • I’ve had my nose buried in the art of Da Vinci over the past couple of days, re-familiarizing myself with his mastery. / As much as I love his paintings, it’s his sketchwork that intrigues me the most…... his sketch workups for his paintings have such humanity in them, his invention sketches showing us a tiny glimpse of his genius, & those anatomy sketches giving us some insight into his constant need for knowledge…. Sadly I haven’t drawn anything for almost 5 years, but today the great Master has inspired me to pick up a pen after all this time, & I have to say it feels great! This image began life 12 years ago as a single line drawing hastily sketched as a thought came into my head. I’ve often looked at it with stirrings of interest….. / So today, with visions of Da Vinci & ancient manuscripts in my head I am drawing again . • Last night I was in the mood for something a bit strange. / Look no further. (ha ha ha!) Taking many liberties with the face from my pencil drawing / The Third Eye / I wanted to put her in a kimono. / Also wanted to try to portray just how odd life can be – with what one is required to balance on many levels. The kimono and little kimono come from Dover clip art. / Zee lizards and hand come from the little photo editing program I use. / The oddness comes from ME. / teehehee. / The Third Eye with Lizards T / / As of Dec. 23, this had 455 views. THANK YOU!

  • This is my first attempt at a montage. I started with a RAW image taken of Winkle Street (Barrington Row, Calbourne, Isle of Wight) on a recent trip to the Isle of Wight. I converted to B&W and added layers and textures, added a lady and dog from a copyright free vintage photograph. I then sepia toned in an attempt to create an ‘old photograph’ I then added a border, self created and placed all on a black background to give an appearance of a photo album page. I hope you like it – I greatly enjoyed creating it. 198 viewings at 4th January 2010 PLEASE VIEW LARGER Featured in the Retired and Happy Group 6th November 2009 Featured in the ‘New to Vintage’ Group 4th January 2010 Copyrighted with MyfreeCopyright.com Ref: / MCN: C4PDD-JU6VM-T4DSA
