  • The ninja vs Demons This is recolor of a piece I submitted for a contest. But, I like this version than the one I submitted.

  • I’m not quite sure how to describe this. It’s an externalization of what I feel stuck in a society that thinks Sarah Palin has an I.Q. larger than her bra size and that “W” was good for the country. B.T.W.: This hurt. Wrapping your head in barbed wire and pulling it tight (even special FX wire) isn’t something I’d recommend on a date night. I’m contemplating making it a series. This isn’t bad, but a bit too slick . . . (I am, unfortunately, somewhat facile.) maybe more wire visibly poking into the eyes and pulling the mouth open; maybe more “realism” than “expressionism”. Something a little more subtle and not so open that you can get it at a glance. I’m guilty of using Francis Bacon as a guiding light . . . a person who said something about the times he lived within. Agony at what is, comment upon what could be and a desire to change what we are and what we could become freed from the Mullahs and Mega-Church monsters. (My, how alliterative. I must try Cosmo as a market.) Something added: I’m too slick. That’s a bad thing. Anyway, that and a buck will get you a cup of tea.

  • Leftyjoe is an Emerging LA artist seeking to continue to paint his way into the hearts and minds of the world with a new approach on impressionism and a mixture of modern cartoon retro character design depicting popular icons in entertainment culture. This is a rowbought from the “Mawnstirrs and Rowboughts” group art show that Leftyjoe curates around LA all year long.
