Applying the classic touch of monochrome to the theme of the interplay of light and shade; whilst exploring everyday common items that so often are overlooked. Toning is applied only where I feel it adds to the impact and feeling of the image. Please enjoy, as I feel these are some of my best work; now made available to you my friends of Redbubble.
This calendar was created with various monochrome images from around the Atlantic province of Nova Scotia, Canada. Many of the images are nautical in nature including fishing boats, a wharf, abandoned shacks, an island in the mist, and other foggy images. Many of the images have a vintage nostalgic atmospheric feeling to them. Some are sepia-toned while others are pure black and white photos. All images were taken by photographer and digital artist, Scott Ruhs.
