One of the office tower’s in downtown Atlanta. I love the architecture of this building. It’s reminiscent of art deco. Built in the early 1990’s, but given the style, it’s hard to easily place it. The angle in this photo was achieved from a neighboring observation deck. From this vantage point, 191 Peachtree Tower appears to loom far above the skyline, but of course if viewed from other directions, it’s one of many towers that make up the downtown and Midtown skylines.

Evening street scene in Coffs Harbour city centre. Canon A460, 5MP. Another way to work with a limited resolution is to mask the fact by using a derivative treatment. Here, I’ve reduced the image to pure BW in Paint Shop Pro. On our recent trip to New York City, I challenged myself to take a few candid shots. I noticed this group while waiting to cross at the lights, near Central Park. I just loved the body language, particularly of the girl with her hands on her hips! Canon EOS 450D. Featured in Shades of Grey and The Human Condition, July 2009.
