    by Paddy

Another image concerning messages in the environment. The poster’s original text “change” has been subverted to hang” by careful viewpoint. Seemed suitable as the advertisement is for cigarettes… I waited for an hour for the right sort of person to walk past and then had just one chance!

  • There is a broken umbrella in the trash. I have so worn slippers. Pick up pieces of a broken mirror. Every day it said the sun rises… I have not seen it today. It rains(...) The day salutes pale and gray. The night departed between the roofs (...) There is a tear that plays in the face. • Pentridge Prison used to house some of Melbourne’s most notorious criminals. Since its closure in the 1990’s, it has been converted largely into a housing estate but parts of the prison have been preserved by Heritage Victoria. It is a magnificent location for modeling photographs with beautiful bluestone walls, prison bars and rusty staircases. / Featured in “Black and White Photographers United” This model is featured in my new Model Portfolio book, “Once… Twice…. Three times a Lady”. A full preview of the book can be found by following the link below. AVAILABLE Now! Blurb Books – Once… Twice… Three times a Lady / Preview entire book by following this link: /

  • Drawing, 6.5’’ x 5’‘ / Graphite pencil, 3H > 9B / 140 gsm cartridge paper, I used more eraser blending on this drawing, especially on the lips and skin, it enabled me to create a smooth feel to it, especially to capture the glossy effect on the lips. Also the use of a 9B pencil was used by me for the first time,I think it helped to create depth on the hair, jawline and background, and most definitely the eyes. Sanja is one of friends here, and a very good photographer, please take the time to visit her page :)

  • This is my best friend and daughter.

  • Quite a few people suggested this image would make a good black and white. I had a play but I am not entirely convinced that I got the result people would have hoped for me to get. Let me know what you think. Featured in “Who needs colour for Beauty” and “Black and White Photographers United” This model is featured in my new Model Portfolio book, “Once… Twice…. Three times a Lady”. A full preview of the book can be found by following the link below. AVAILABLE Now! Blurb Books – Once… Twice… Three times a Lady / Preview entire book by following this link: /
