  • This friendly chimpanzee offered a friend of mine a hand shake during a visit to the Mendoza zoo in Argentina. I wouldnt recommend shaking hands with chimps though, I believe they are quite strong and could hurt you if they were so inclined. Still, my friend’s folly (thanks Nigel) was my gain in the end. This is one of my favorite images. Hope you like it. Hope it moves you.

  • I had great fun watching these two vervet monkeys on the Masai Mara, Kenya. The baby monkey has obviously seized his opportunity for some food when Mum is distracted for a moment… Taken with Nikon D50.

  • To spend an hour with Mountain Gorillas is one of the best wildlife experiences you can ever hope for. They captivate you with their eyes and you become lost in the moment. Your time with them goes so fast you are left just wanting more… / / Will these majestic apes be able to hold onto what little hope they have? / / (Virunga volcanoes, Rwanda.) / >< / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /

  • This is just one of those pictures that develops as you go. / It started with a sketch of the guy with the hat, and then I realized that he needed someone to hold his hand, thus the monkey. / Then I scanned, and put it together i Photoshop. As I went on the backdrop slowly evolved in my fantasy, and I fleshed it out as I went along…. By the way, I am testing out a new display system I’m working on. / You see I’m in the proses of setting up another blog where I can focus only on the sales of my art and different stuff with my art on it, and I want to show how the pictures look on the wall. So I have drawn a few rooms to hang my pictures in. / Hope you like it…. POS / /

  • Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Eye See You This Pelican at Monkey Mia, Western Australia, was very different from the ones I had seen before (Australian Pelican). Have included some information regarding the Australian Pelican: The Australian Pelican Australia’s largest flying bird, the pelican has a wingspan of 3.5m and the world’s longest bill at 47cm, with an expandable pouch to hold fish. They forage day and night, alone or in groups, driving fish into the shallows and catching them with their bills. They roost on mudbanks and islands, fluttering their pouch skin to keep cool. They sometimes migrate long distances, flying in loose V formation or in line, soaring up to 3,000m high. They nest in colonies on islands and the chicks gather in groups. Their diet consists of fish and crustaceans. They inhabit fresh and saline lakes, rivers and swamps.

  • Just a blast from the past. I think that as a kid, out of the back of comic books, I ordered the sea-monkeys, the Venus fly traps, the blow gun, and the whizzer whistle ring. Never did get around to the x-ray specs. So little time.
