One of my favourite places in France was when we visited Monet’s garden. The waterlilies beckoned in early morning as we fought the crowds to see the painter’s inspiration and light play amongst the shadows.

I love Monets style in this painting and his use of purples and orange,, So here is my version of Monets famous painting, using media, Painter x, PSP and PS.. / The Houses of Parliament are one of my fav’s because the style is so much like JW Turner, who is my all time favourite Artist. /

This is a photograph of the River Frome in Dorchester, Dorset. As soon as I saw the original I knew it had very painterly qualities, so I cropped the image to get rid of surrounding foliage, then experimented with contrast, hue etc until I got this finished image. I tried various filters, but in the end decided it was better as it was.
