The monarchs seem to be fewer this year but here is one that I stumbled upon. Taken in South Portland Maine.
I think I have finally finished this one, I will try and upload a better image though. Oil Painting on canvas. Glad that British systems of government have got us where we are today, but can we have a republic now?

This handsome piece of architecture is I’olani Palace. The palace was built in 1882 and was home to the last two monarchs of Hawai’i, King Kalakaua and Queen Lili’uokalani.

With a title befitting some other story, I’m using it to up-the-traffic on this story. Well, my story is much more impressive and has some hilarity. In the month before Christmas, saharabelle and I purchased 150 of our own cards to show our family. With so much positive response, and the belief that we could sell them to the masses beyond our front-door, we purchased two fold-up boxes, we also took the cards to work. Our workplace friends luuurved all of our flower photography , from the manipulated to the macro-photography . With responses like “I’m never going to purchase a HALLMARK card ever again!” and “I’d rather have your cards than those piss-weak flimsy cards at the newsagent.”, our customers have helped determine the value of our photography. What I have found is that the farmyard scenes are popular by people wanting to remember the yesteryears. I particularly enjoy finding interesting scenes, both abstract and actual, around Kangaroo Island . You’ll find an amazing array of work shot over the last twelve months! Today I was informed by a Xmas-purchaser that Windmill at Work was air-mailed to the UK, sent all the way to Windsor. Yes, the home-town of the Monarchy! Although Liz and Phil will probably never see it, this card will get shown to friends and displayed a few Windsor homes. Not only have we contributed to the tourism of Adelaide: , but we have added to the stereotype of blue-skies , heritage mechanics , colourful vernacular and an impressive background to trek through . With a few close friends urging me on (I think they want me to pursue further goals rather than stay a ’ cog in the wheel ‘) and such an amazing response rate, followed by a bit of quick re-budgeting – we started buying in bulk every Thursday from thereon. And a few t_shirts , both my own and from other RB-artists. I have a few laminates and mounted prints in my cart to purchase next month. From all the way Down Under to the top of the UK, it’s certainly a great and proud moment to know that my captured moments are being seen the world over!
