Surrealistic Digital Art / / 1st place in the Altered by Design Group – Apples Challenge. / / Does life have a purpose? Does it have real meaning? Is life anything more than a brief span on earth, with nothing but eternity on either side of this physical existence? What Is Your Destiny? This is the question of the ages, a riddle that has challenged human beings since they came to be. Why am I here? Why do I exist? Every one us was created for a purpose, but few understand what that great purpose is. / / Mousepads in Zazzle / / / Feedback / “It is a great pleasure owning a wonderful piece of art created by you” / / “Imber, / I love your talent. / My ‘First Tree’ is officially published in the coffee table book Artists of the West / For information on purchasing a signed copy of the book, go to Carrie Glenn Studios Thanks! First Tree was Featured in Lifestyles Magazine as part of an article about the Artists of the West coffee table book I am also honored to announce my painting First Tree was a part of the Rialto Towers two week art exhibit in Melbourne, Australia in of July 2007 Acrylic and pastel on illustration paper. (1995) This is truly the first tree I ever painted, the need to paint and create was something brewing so strongly inside I had to do something about it. Yet my resources were very limited, I grabbed the only paint I had any access to, a can of my father’s black spray paint, I sprayed it into the lid of the can and used the only paintbrush I owned a cheep nylon brush from a water color kit and created. I then finished my work with the only two pastels I owned brown and black. / Necessity is the mother of invention, or maybe it’s that there is more than one way to skin a cat. (Sorry cat lovers) At any rate I grew up in a home with very few luxuries but I did have a passion to create, always, I had to feed the creativity. So this is a very special piece to me and I hope to you as well. Down through the dark trees, you came and saved me... “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, / The crawling locust, / The consuming locust, / And the chewing locust, / My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, / And praise the name of the LORD your God, / Who has dealt wondrously with you; / And My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: / I am the LORD your God / And there is no other. / My people shall never be put to shame. “ / ~Joel 2:25-27 Stock Credits: / Sxc.hu / aurochstock.deviantart.com
Poem by Linaji Frivolity and Passion / fused evenly / Dancing queen in pink / frivolous to the end / Passion sings in pure wink / a steady flow of romance / lending each other hand in hand, / a way to fly to the story / that ends in a union fit for life / unseen and unheard of / but created none the less / You see… / the roots are deeper than you think INSPIRED BY DANCING QUEEN AHHH IF ONLY LIFE COULD SAY..
