Located inside a meander of the River Forth at Throsk, 3 miles (5 km) east of Stirling, Bandeath Industrial Estate is a large general industrial and storage complex, meeting the requirements of medium to large manufacturing and distribution users. Refurbished in the early 1980s, it is run by Stirling Council, who purchased the facility from the Ministry of Defence in 1978. Previously a Royal Naval Armament Depot, there are still more than thirty large abandoned ammunition stores regularly-spaced in rows filling the northern part of the site and once linked by railway track. These old stores have now been overrun by locally farmed sheep, making it a rather surreal scene to stumble upon. A friend of mine who keeps an old boat at the site tells me there are old disused tunnels connecting these buildings, although I find it hard to believe with them being so close to the river.

couldn’t finish the whole piece tonight / hurt too much / all that’s left is to color the second bird, and I’m gonna do that next week to entertain myself while I was getting it, I started taking pictures :P kind if a new thing for me / I don’t have too many self portaits, and I tried a new kind =] / comments/criticism much appreciated and welcomed =]

Inspired by the WA Defect Notice, this design aims to look at the irony of why some notices are issued to vehicles that are of a better condition than those of the Police themselves! With some of the stories we’ve heard regarding defect notices, it’s prompted this parody of a design in light of the label we’d all dread to see on our own vehicles! Drive safely!
