An incredible barn not real far from home, it’s just amazing, sitting out there in the middle of a field, falling apart but so much character, I couldn’t help myself as usual when it comes to falling down buildings of any sort. Then I had a play with it
A mod I done for a young couple…
Angry as I listen again / Heard these words before / They are dreams for another / And include a new me / Must I live this way? / Lie and then take cover If only I could be / The one that calls from within / Another boy another time / Living life without the sin Talking words that make no sense / Lie to love and live again / The day will come and swallow me / Dream turn rich and real / Drowning in that sea / Love and then we’ll be If only I could be / The one that calls from within / Another boy another time / Living love without sin Pushing me and I give in / To understand once more / Two steps forward one step back / Never forget what the dreamer sees / Eyes made from deep bright souls / Seeing more of love within this pact If only I could be / The one that calls from within / Another boy another sign / Living new without sin Craig Shillington 6th June 2002
Watch the Video HERE Long ago, for many years / White men came in the name of god / They took their land, they took their lives / A new age has just begun / They lost their god, they lost their smile / they cried for help for the last time. / Liberty was turning into chains / But all the white men said / That’s the cross of changes / In the name of god – The fight for gold / These were the changes. / Tell me – is it right – In the name of god / These kind of changes ? / They tried to fight for liberty / Without a chance in hell, they gave up. / White men won in the name of god / With the cross as alibi / There’s no god who ever tried / To change the world in this way. / For the ones who abuse His name / There’ll be no chance to escape / On judgment day / In the name of god – The fight for gold / These were the changes. / Tell me – Is it right – In the name of god / These kind of changes? / Tell me why, tell me why, tell why / The white men said: / That’s the cross of changes? / Tell me why, tell me why, tell why, / In the name of god / These kind of changes. From my series, “Confessions of a LIttle Lady.” Acrylic on canvas. / Little Lady is cute but naughty – saucy, sassy and a little bit malicious. She gives voice to the thoughts we dare not speak aloud, the quips we wish we’d thought of, the melancholy longings of modern life, and does so in a wardrobe to die for. Proof that the cuter you are – the more you can get away with. / Enter the world of Little Lady – but cross her at your peril!!

FROM THE OLD DESERT RAT: Back when I was a kid, / just the scent of the / blooming citrus / would make / you drunk. Back when I was a kid, / Palm Springs was / always moving. / Sand blew / all over. The wind blew twice a / year in Palm Springs, / six months south, / then six north. We lived with granparents, / my family and I, when I / was a kid down in / my desert. That part of my life was / what made me love / wind-whipped / palm trees. That sound meant I was / safe, loved, sleeping in / in a dresser drawer / when I was tiny. And sleeping beside my / grandmother when I / was a young girl, / I was safe. I was safe. Dayonda A fractal from the 1960s made in a nifty little program that I can’t remember the name of—If you look at it closely, it’s just a bunch of little pictures. Back off from it and you’ll see the whole picture- the palm tree. This is not my photo, it’s a clip-art item that came with one of my art programs. However, I’m the one that did the crazy-quilt optical thing with it. -=DS
