  • Sakura is the time of cherry blossoms in Japan. I would like to see that someday. This was my first attempt at larger artwork in PS and Painter X.

  • Are you one of them?

  • New things can be good.

  • I have been slacking off on the teacher / student stuff for a while. Time to get some more designs up.

  • More school stuff.

  • What to do, what to do, what to do? When the going gets tough, the tough do Japanese monster tees? I can’t think of anything for a tee design. Well, I can think of lots of things, but nothing that sounds like a winner. That’s worse than no ideas at all.Anyway, Gamera deserves his own shirt. It’s hard to find good photos to work with of these old monsters anymore. Everything now is HD, or some other impressive abbreviation. I have more fun working from these grainy old photos anyway. More of a challenge. I may have to create my own kaiju. I think mobii would be a great name for something that erupted from deep in the sea, and stomped on a city or two. I’d do it. Here’s to giant fire breathing flying turtles!

  • I wanted to try and do another Origami instruction shirt. After seeing a penguin in the palm of a hand done by Mui-Ling, We noticed that the little impressions on the hand looked like waves of snow or sand. We already had a penguin for the snow, and the first thing that came to mind was a camel for the sand. The camel is a bit harder than the penguin, so I can’t wait to see how small Mui-Ling can make one. Have fun.

  • See? This is what happens when you get caught playing kissy face with the kings number one favorite dancing girl! Ah, Boris at his best. When I think of this movie, the first thing that always comes to mind, is that insane laughter from the guy in the tomb after he has seen the mummy for the first time. It sure gave me the heebie jeebies way back then.

  • For those about to rock.

  • It’s baAAAaack!

  • This came about due to Rain-dogs Mud Wasps.

  • Happy 4th of July!

  • This is a head shot of Hanuman. He was the white monkey warrior, protector of the king, and all around trouble maker. There are many stories about his adventures in Thai mythology. He reminds me of the monkey king in the Chinese book “Journey to the west”. He seems to have been given the same mischievous attitude and disregard for authority. The stories are quite enjoyable. /

  • Boxing professionally for 16 years, his bouts in Atlantic City becoming a staple of HBO television, Gatti could be counted on for virtually nonstop action leaving both boxers bloody. Known as “Thunder” for his powerful punches, Gatti won 40 fights, 31 by knockout, and lost 9. He held the International Boxing Federation super featherweight title and the World Boxing Council light welterweight crown. He was best remembered for three brutal fights with Micky Ward, losing on a decision in May 2002, then winning by decision in November ’02 and June ’03. On July 11, 2009, Gatti was found murdered in a hotel in Ipojuca, Pernambuco, Brazil. Gatti’s widow has been charged with first degree murder after the strap of her purse was found stained with blood. Gatti was to attend his sister’s wedding the following day. Rodrigues could not explain how she spent more than ten hours in the hotel room without realizing Gatti was dead.

  • WOOF!

  • Nature is amazing. Who knew that crabs made bubbles? Capt. Phil of course. Check out this video of your favorite “Deadliest Catch” skipper enlightening the new guy on how to find crabs out at sea.

  • Trying to get a few of the classics on the board.

  • These things faded out somewhat about the time I was born. They have gained a bit of popularity with collectors and nostalgia fans lately though.
