The Mob From Mandurang
by Simone ByrneBeyond the old stone church, down where a dried up creek bed runs, / Grows a paradise of nature, blessed with ghostly, silver gums… read…
© Simone Byrne 11th October, 1996. / All Rights Reserved. Back before I was a photographer my artistic endeavors were more slanted towards writing poetry, Aussie bush poetry to be precise. For me it was a way of remembering the good times I spent with my horses riding through the bush as I was growing up. Hope you enjoy the yarns, of course you realize that the more outrageous the tale, the more the likely hood of it being true! This particular yarn is about the area where I used to keep my horse, Ringo. A lot of my yarns are about him in some way, I guess this poem stemmed from our long rides around Mandurang bushland and the critters we used to meet on those rides.
