You probably didn’t know, but last weekend probably the biggest Australian Swing Dancing festival was held here in Melbourne. On the Friday was a competition – the Melbourne Lindy Battle. I competed and did pretty well. Wren Stew (Teams event, 2nd) / Charleston Challenge (Solo, 1st) / Jack and Jill (Random partnered, 2nd) Those last two links are fairly large AVIs, the first is on youtube so much more accessible. Came 4th in the other 3 events I went in (slow & smooth, strictly lindy, fast foot), which is pretty good for the first two but dead last for the fast :( In case you’re unsure I’m the guy with the big hair and the RB tees… I highly recommend checking out the other winners of the teams event, they’re pretty awesome. The eyes of a person with albinism may appear red under certain lighting conditions due to the very low quantities of melanin. “True” red eyes also exist in albinistic and even some non-albinistic populations, but are very rare. Only about 20 cases of natural red eyes are recognized throughout the world. Red eyes are caused by the complete lack of pigment in the iris leaving the blood vessels as the only visible part of the iris, or a blood leakage into the iris. This eye condition is extremely rare.

It’s a strawberry and it’s a clock. If you are wondering why that time… At one o-clock on the 24 hour clock it would say 13:00 since it is 1 pm. The minute hand is at 57 minutes past. And finally the second hand is 9 seconds past. Therefore if you write the time it shows 13:57.9 showing all the odd numbers from 1 to 10 in sequence. BAM!

Coffee is a widely-consumed stimulant beverage prepared from roasted seeds, commonly called coffee beans, of the coffee plant. Coffee was first consumed in the 9th century, when it was discovered in the highlands of Ethiopia. From there, it spread to Egypt and Yemen, and by the 15th century had reached Azerbaijan, Persia, Turkey, and northern Africa. From the Muslim world, coffee spread to Italy, then to the rest of Europe, Indonesia and the Americas. Today, coffee is one of the most popular beverages worldwide. / Coffee berries, which contain the coffee bean, are produced by several species of small evergreen bush of the genus Coffea. The two most commonly grown species are Coffea canephora (also known as Coffea robusta) and Coffea arabica. These are cultivated in Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Africa. Once ripe, coffee berries are picked, processed, and dried. The seeds are then roasted, undergoing several physical and chemical changes. They are roasted to varying degrees, depending on the desired flavor. They are then ground and brewed to create coffee. Coffee can be prepared and presented in a variety of ways. / Coffee has played an important role in many societies throughout modern history. In Africa and Yemen, it was used in religious ceremonies. As a result, the Ethiopian Church banned its consumption until the reign of Emperor Menelik II of Ethiopia. It was banned in Ottoman Turkey in the 17th century for political reasons[citation needed], and was associated with rebellious political activities in Europe.
