/ My artwork is based on personal childhood experience, exploring the concept of divorce and separation. It depicts the emotions associated with divorce and separation and the negative impact it has on a child. My technique of layering of washes and colleges adds to the idea of the gamut of emotions. I have used oil sticks, charcoal, progresso and chalks, working heavily with them in areas of my work. Where as I have left other areas open and unfinished to emphasize the rawness of emotions. I have been strongly influenced by Cherry Hood and this reflects in areas of my art making practice.

ORIGINAL FOR SALE I did this with water colours, graphite and acrylics on fragments of Cartridge paper on canvas after Age,Maturity,Dotage I really enjoyed the technique and think it emphasizes their age and fragility. I used the same materials as Age,Maturity,Dotage but without the text and a more sketchy drawing style. “Yesterdays Face” Won the New Avatar For 2009 challenge in the Paintings From Beginners group / “Yesterday’s Face” Was featured in the group Painters In Modern Times (December 08) /
