Spotted some horses in a field on the way to work yesterday, the sun was just coming through the mist, had to go turn round and go back to have a look and came away with a couple of nice shots. There was a thick frost on the ground, real crisp winter morning Thanks to Richard Shepherd for the title.

As the sunrise burned trough the fog early Sunday morning, on Clear Lake near Hunstville, Ontario, two fishermen enthusiastically set out for their favourite fishing place… / This shot was as a result of an early morning walk in / August 2008 in the fog: part planning, part serendipity. I particularly like the fact that compared to a lot of fog shots it displays color to I think an advantage and shows the promise of a beautiful sunny day emerging… / Nikon D40, Nikkor 18-55mm lens Featured in Canada: The Great White North group September 2008 / Featured in the Nirvana group September 2008 / Avatar for Shots In The Fog group October 2008 / Featured in the ImageWriting group November 2008 / Featured in the 100% group. . / . / Featured in Rural America November 1, 2008. / Featured in A Beautiful Blur October 3, 2008. Taken 9/20/08 on top of Blue Knob in Claysburg, Bedford County, PA. My camera is a Nikon D40x, and I was using my 18-135mm lens. Other than a bit of sharpening and the removal of the distracting arm of a snowmaker, it’s as the camera’s lens saw it.

It was in mid-April, the second day after I had bought the new Nikon D80 when the weather here provided a perfect sunrise morning with some mist. Nothing more quickly done in the morning than rushing with my bike towards the paradisical grounds of the country-house of Groeneveld near Baarn where I so often shoot. And I can tell you: it was worth it! Groeneveld, 12th April 2007, 7.30 am / Nikon D 80 with Nikkor 18-200 mm at 52 mm / F 9, 1/160, ISO 200
