This is the Bonaventure Cemetary located in Savannah, Georgia. It was made famous by the book/movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. The statue of the bird girl on the book’s cover went unnoticed for over 50 years until that point and became such a tourist attraction it had to be moved to a museum. PIRATE LOOKS AT FORTY / Mother, mother ocean, I have heard you call, / Wanted to sail upon your waters / since I was three feet tall. / You’ve seen it all, you’ve seen it all. Watch the men who rode you, / Switch from sails to steam. / And in your belly you hold the treasure / that few have ever seen, most of them dreams, / Most of them dreams. Yes, I am a pirate two hundred years too late. / The cannons don’t thunder there’s nothin’ to plunder / I’m an over forty victim of fate / Arriving too late, arriving too late. The most famous sight in Rockport, MA is a wooden fishermans shack on the town wharf known as Motif #1. The trademark of the costal town is said to be one of the most photographed buildings in the country. It was originally constructed in 1884 and destroyed during the blizzard of 1978. Like the title states I did just that, colored these normally purple flowers wonderfully. I combined 2 photos for this one. I took both shots at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington D.C. The George Washington statue was located in the back of the Cathedral and the arch way was on the top floor.
