Karin’s storefront iAN’s storefront This has been an amazing experience to be a part of….an enormous thank you to Matt Mawson who has tirelessly and generously worked over the past 2 days to bring this little book into being….. I could never have done it without you Matt! And of course a huge thank you to the amazing writer and friend of mine, one of those great Aussie characters that just keeps on keeping on, keeps on getting better with age…. that is iAN Derrick I first met iAN through a journal Matt wrote about one of iAN’s books, and since that day, we sorta hit it off….. I talked to iAN about my father and he also was inspired to write another short story called Understanding Harry and correct me if i’m wrong, but i think he may have been inspired to write a story that reflected some of the goings on with Matt’s four legged friend also. One day I got an email from the amazing iAN, saying although he thought my father should be the one to tell and publish his own stories, he’d had a little idea and brought it to life in Understanding Harry and not long after this i received a second email saying that he’d done it again, but i would have to wait til the morning when he loaded the story to red bubble, and he and I and hubby all savoured the moment….....waiting with baited breath, until upon waking in the morning two days ago, I was thrilled to discover this wonderful story had been written. A story about my characters…involved a certain Mrs T….but i will tell you no more, as it’s a must read…and you can read it over here She Sells Sea Cards by the Sea Shore Thank you iAN and Thank you Matt i am eternally grateful

  Here it is. My first ever exhibit will happen in January 09. I’ll be exhibiting the Touch Me series. This is part of the reason why so far none of the images have been for sale in any form until now. Partly because I need help funding the prints for the exhibit. Each calendar will pay for one print to be hung on the wall. But please don’t think I will be charging a heap for the prints and rolling around in the profits. This whole project is non-profit and I will be pricing the prints to recover costs and provide some money to my very helpful models – who so far have worked for nothing. So please know that if you buy one of these you’re getting art on your wall that was made with much love. And that in buying one you have made more than one person very happy to be able to continue doing what they love.

  Ummm.. hello…. O.O” To all who’ve been worried about me, i’m so so so sorry!! i know i can’t apologize enough for my weird disappearance from RB, and my lack of replies on all your wonderful comments.. and also my lack of comments.. i’m truly truly sorry. I’ve been basically down all these time, since September.. down.. sorta down, yea.. umm.. how do i explain.. umm.. ok, i’ll write a from the start thing, so this journal will be lengthy so yea.. Oo” Basically i once had a major major breakdown last Sep 2007. it was pretty bad. i sooooo wanted to have myself admitted into the hospital to get away from life and to avoid hurting anyone. i was that close to really hurting someone.. in my mind, i was fighting and struggling not to harm anyone. not to harm myself. i was presented with horrible ugly images of how i wanted to really really really hurt the someone who’s hurting me mentally and emotionally. but my brother managed to get home on time to save me. God bless him. So what happened in 2008 this year was that.. i managed to last through the past 1yr with no more major breakdowns.. i’ve worked hard and i’ve managed to control myself enough not to have any breakdown for a year. and i was proud of myself. until a few days after the 1yr anniversary that that same someone said something nasty again and voila, there goes my clean records of no major breakdowns~ pfft.. Someone you truly care for and respect and love suggested that i behave properly or i’d be caught by the mental hospital and dragged away and locked up.. it’s basically a big huge insult and jab to me.. biiiiiiiig.. it’s like.. “what the hell makes her think i’d go into hysteria?!” big.. it’s like a vampire being stabbed in the heart big. it’s sorta, the worst words i’ve heard.. i couldn’t ask for anything more blunt. it’s as good as saying, “watch it, mad woman. you’ll be caught one day”. oooO.. typing this brings back the pain on my chest.. annoying.. the last tv drama didn’t help educate that lady either. the drama suggested that anyone having depression will go into hysteria and will attempt to kill themselves and will be full of anxiety and hysteria stuffs.. honestly, receiving such comments makes me wanna try just do that and give her what she wants. but stubborn lil me won’t give her what she wants. she’ll have to work harder at tormenting me mentally if she wants me to go into hysteria. So yea.. basically after that hurtful episode, i sorta thought i managed to get over it, but i thought wrong i guess. i tried to get back on RB, to comment and fav works.. but i couldn’t do much cos i’ve been feeling moody. i don’t want to leave a half-hearted comment – especially when i know that i’d be responding to the piece for cheerfully if i weren’t feeling moody. i’ve received so many kind bmails and emails from you guys.. Midori-sama.. Ellen.. Lisa.. Christelle.. Lori.. iAN.. Tom.. Julie.. Rory.. Gillian.. Vestque.. GG.. argh!!! there’s so many of you lovely people out there bmailing and commenting and being so nice to me, i’m so sorry for disappearing!! there’s so many kind comments on my SilentCries gallery too!! You guys are too kind!! am not complaining, but really really really thank you all!! i’m so sorry i haven’t manage to reply to you guys.. Basically i’ve been feeling moody, and can’t bring myself to reply.. i am not my usual cheerful childish self, and i’d feel bad to tell you guys am not ok cos i think it’s not too big a problem still and yet it held me down so much.. Basically i planned to reply to all the comments and bmails and emails only after i’ve gotten myself back up. OO” i am so so sorry.. i know i must have worried some of you guys.. though seriously, there’s no need to worry for me, am nothing! as in.. there’s no need to worry for me.. how do i say this.. i’ve dealt with crappy people all my life, so i will be ok. i will not go into hysteria, i will not be dragged away in straight jacket, i will not kill myself and i will not kill others. cough cough.. i would like to thank Karin for reminding me that i haven’t been replying to anything for a long time and that includes personal bmails and emails.. i honestly didn’t realize i’ve been withdrawing myself. i just thought i’m just procrastinating to answering bmails and emails.. I’ve been drawing and playing on my wacom the last 3days.. immersing myself into drawing and sketching, hoping to purge out any negative feelings in me. here’s my first try at sketching with wacom.. / it’s really fun.. and now i’m trying to color with a wacom.. will show you guys once it’s done.. it’s a little guy, by the name of Kenny… he’s very young and very quiet.. he cries easily. he loves to be carried and hugged. X) he’ll be done a 2-3 days i guess.. Please know that I appreciate every single one of you for your kindness and consideration and accept this as my sincerest thank you. I notice one of my works even made “home page” in my absence – wow! that blows me away! – as do all your wonderful congrats on that image “Forgiveness”. Now I ask for your forgiveness and understanding ….I am going to be taking more time away from RB…. It is something I need to do. I will not be visiting here as often if at all….   Three of my photos are going to be on display at The Missing Link Festival. The 3 photos will be printed on stretched canvas, 40×60cm The Missing Link Festival is a pre-Christmas art market that is happening on Sunday the 14th of December. It goes from 11am until late and is being held in the backyard area of Spectrum Project Space, 221 Beaufort St, Northbridge. From their website / “We’re uniting different groups and art forms to present you with a buzzing collection of spaces, converging to create The Missing Link Arts Market. Over seven stalls represent the collective works for sale by some fantastic emerging and professional local artists. Featuring: all day live bands, food, competitions and a diverse audience of artists and public to enjoy it.” Not only will the three photos on display be available to purchase, I am in the process of organising things required for me to be able to take orders and have them delivered to people before Christmas. Unfortunately due to the limited time frame between the festival and Christmas I will not be able to use RedBubble for the orders, but have managed to find a local canvas printing company which offers very good prices and better delivery times.

My son has won tickets to see Bob The Builder so we are off to Sydney to stay with my parents…just in time for the APEC Conference. (Yay) / They live relatively near the beach, so because they can look after the boys, I think I’ll get a chance to get some stupid o’clock shots in. Are you (or a willing victim of your choice) willing to get your gear off for a good cause? If you answered yes to the above then boy howdy! Do we have a competition for you! The Dynamic Duo of Rose Moxon and Mel Brackstone have joined forces to create the must have calendar of 2009, with proceeds going to The Fred Hollows Foundation. Coming soon, Voyeur ‘09 will star some very special Redbubble members strutting their stuff in front of the camera for a change, and strutting it like it’s never been strutted before! This is also a total collaboration fest with many of our world class photographers teaming up with members of Redbubble creating some sexy, sassy images and having a whole lotta fun while they are at it. I had to go out of town, came home last night, and the unthinkable happened…. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr lol, My new computer, had been struck by lightning while I was away, so thats what Dell says…. and is just all messed up… Im praying my stuff on my hard drive is all still there, I think it will be though… anyways lol… to make a long story short…. the Dell Service Technician wont have the parts until Thursday, and then he has to call to set a time to come out here, so until then, I wont be too active…. I dont care for this laptop lol, and alllllllllllllllllll my stuff is in my pc…. So im like a chicken with its head cut off right now and that aint too good ! LOL I miss you all very much and am so touched by all the emails, bubblemails and etc…. Sorry sorry.. n_n” am actually currently busy with my website, as you might have seen here ... It’s actually, sorta almost done.. just left a write up on Tim, since i do see a few people asking who’s Tim. hehe.. am also supposed to touch up the programming for the enquiry page.. and do 3 more banners.. and all must be done before 08.08.08…. YEAP!! Will officially launch my webbie on 08.08.08!!! Bwahahahaha…. You can call me a sucker for lucky number.. i can’t help it.. This is the year of the Rat, according to the lunar calendar, and yours truly, happens to be born exactly 12yrs ago, on the year of Rat.. XD the number 8 (ba) is known by the chinese as a lucky number as its pronunciation is similar to the word Fortune. fa in mandarin can mean richness.. AND guess what?! all my relatives and family calls me papa.. ehehe.. weird eh? my pet name was supposed to be fafa, but it somehow turns into papa.. so yea! i get uncles and grandaunties calling me papa… OO” papa… baba… fafa… O_o” And so i really hope to officially launch my webbie on the 8th Aug!! XD / oh shoot, that’s this friday… ARGH!!!! and can’t wait to finish my current project.. i just took up a short-deadline freelance proj, to create an interactive platform for a kiosk featuring Disney’s Wall.E!! i don’t know whether to smile or frown… i love being able to watch all the high res trailers and playing the games, but i hate actionscripting!!! OO” the project is due tomorrow, sorta.. i guess i’ll still be able to finish my webbie on time..   I’m so excited to be home…. 6 days away from RB was just too much to handle. There wasn’t one of those days that I didn’t think about RB. I even found myself dreaming about the site. It is SOOOOO ADDICTIVE…....... / Now I’m home and have so much to catch up on – pages of new works from people – which means lots of typing, heaps of really nice comments to read and new photos to upload. I can’t wait. / While I was away my new IR lens arrived so when I get a chance and the weather clears I’ll be off to try that out too. Thanks to everyone who left comments whilst I was away – I’ll be sure to return them as soon as I can. Thanks to all the people who added me to their watchlists as well. I’m so excited that people are liking my work and want to see more… Glad to be home…. / Naomi P.S. Bob The Builder was good too. Not so sure about his support act, Barney the big purple dinosaur , but Bob was cool.

Unfortunately, I do not know who this person is for a proper recognition, but I do know one thing: it made my day a wonderful day. Thank you so very, very much to you my friend, God bless you. I hope you will enjoy my art in this concrete form as much as I did creating it. One week ago, another “mysterious” great artist (a huntch tells me) purchased a card with Miss Pogany blushing. I must admit that this is not a very popular composition. Art doesn’t always follow the path of the crowd, but follows most often the beatten road of the heart. Thank you so very much wonderful friend for your commited appreciation of my art. And thank you from the heart to all my new and old RB friends who always honor me with their visit and comments, regardless of my level of inspiration on a particular work.   Hi all… I wanted to come by here and try and explain why I haven’t been around lately. Some of you may know about it and others not. I started a group shop at zazzle called Insomniacs at http://zazzle.com/insomniacs. It was a accident really I was going to make a shop for the Insomniac character but the only thing available was Insomniacs so I added the s to the end and he took on a life of his own. I have also learned so much of what it is like for a person who is a Group Moderator…. and have a new found respect! I will no longer push the envelope with Group Moderators as I used to. So I have missed everyone and everday got harder and harder…. I would like to come back and be here more though and hope you will welcome me back.
