I wish I could take credit for this amazing graphic, but I have to thank the multi-talented Julie Langford who took one of my photographs and did what she does so well with it. This shot was a junk shot I had already created in HDR, that I was going to toss. There were major issues w/ it, such as large white spot in the corner, blurred spots, etc. But I loved the look of the tree. So I played with it a bit, liked what I came up w/ (which was what you see, minus the girl) but thought something was missing. I added the girl and well, here’s what we got! / I really like the dark ambiance and lost feeling of the piece. I thought it would be nice to show the original shot I was gonna trash. Personally, I like seeing before and afters of photo manips, helps give a sence of what they actually go through to accomplish the final piece. / This piece was featured in and won Out of the Past Group’s May contest, “Ghosts of the Past.” Thank You!!!!!

These little ones are in the paddock across the road, there are hundreds of sheep and new born lambs, i even saw a day old one with no wool for warmth, and it snowed a bit this morning, he must of been very cold. these two were just sitting near the gate out of the wind and the rain, in a spot where the sun came out and warmed them.

THANKS SO MUCH TO RED BUBBLE / FOR FEATURING THIS ON THE HOME PAGE / 3rd April 2009 “For every low there is an equal but opposite high” ♥…a wing from one of my beautiful white cockatoos on take-off…mirrored and contrasted… / (and to be a bit more specific… this was taken thru my window at my desk here while working one day…the birds were just waddling around pecking at my lawn… and one took off up to sit in a tree… so with just one wing from a picture… I mirrored it to see if it would look like a ‘whole’ bird…LOL / . / ...then i was fiddling with v.basic tools of negative image and inversion etc to get a whole black/white effect… / . / ...THEN i started seeing images in the bird akin to an inkblot test and when they became a tad too disturbing for my own liking…. i left the image and moved on!! ...sheesh! Dedicated to my father who passed away 9/15/08. Ephemeral: Lasting only one day. Lasting a very short time. I created this using various old images I had laying around and played with it in Photoshop. I almost feel like I should have a poem written for this piece, but alas, i am not a writer!
