false as water / smooth as glass / faux feeling behind / a false façade
Written 28 April 2009. Thank you to my friend and fellow Bubbler, Jane, who provided some of the inspiration for this poem. Inspired by the song “Poker Face”, by La GaGa.

FOR THE SISTERHOOD
something in a face / transports a frangrant memory / from here to some other space
There is a little of us in every person we meet if you can see the reflection

The funny thing was, she couldn’t hear herself scream.
Written a few years ago & lifted from the vault. Inspired by that horrible feeling you get after a bad dream. The first few moments of your day a muddle as you figure out what is real, or that unsettling feeling that / follows you for a while….anyways, a bit of mild gothic horror…

Well, here’s my first submission to RedBubble. This was originally written in September of 2006; it’s hard to believe that it was a year ago, but there it is. Twelve months on and it has seen little revision, although it could probably do with some tweaking. I’m no serious writer by any means, but I’ll be sharing more as I go. Thankyou, and enjoy.
Voices are only words, and words are only voices. Why don’t we speak out when we need help?

“Sarah” / For A Moment: The Schizophrenic “For A Moment” series is a series of short (two-six-paragraph) writings collected from my scraps and drafts. magic mirror i detest you so
Looked in the mirror to find two reflections staring in mirrors of their own and prisms upon panes of self-acknowledgment and my reaction…
Written in my art history class about looking at yourself in the mirror.

This is a poem written for the “In the Moment” theme. Have you ever stared in the mirror for so long you forgot where you were?
