As promotional material for the forthcoming Lara Uniting Church Pet Blessing, we took our lady minister out to someone who owned a snake so that she could bless the snake. Well, she’s one feisty lady and the snake was no worry to her. I got some good photos but this one really stuck out. It’s cropped, the background has PSP dof added and I used layering to retain a fraction of the dof blurr over her and the snake. It just seemed (to me) to work so well though I don’t even know why. I guess I just like it. But does anyone else? (For the record the Pet Blessing for 2007 is on October the 7th at 3pm at the Lara Uniting Church. It’s unlikely that many RB’s will be in Lara (Victoria) on that day with their dog, cat, elephant or snake, but just in case feel free to drop in and introduce yourself – and your pet!) Oh, and if anyone DOES decide to buy this picture, the profits go to the Geelong Animal Welfare Society which really needs them – hence the slightly higher markup.
The Colonial Building was the seat of the Newfoundland government and the House of Assembly from January 28, 1850 to July 28, 1959 and in 1974 declared a Provincial Historic Site. It was also the site of a number of political riots and disturbances. One of those was the public protest on April 5, 1932 for maladministration and corruption in government when all the windows were broken, doors smashed and furniture destroyed, which cost $10,000 to repair. The Prime Minister, Sir Richard Squires, barely escaped the building at that time. / / ..................................... / Click here to add me to your watch list. / .....................................

It is amazing what inspires our art sometimes…I was out shopping with my sister and my mum one day when I spotted some chewing gum splatted onto the carpark concrete. My sister looked at me horrified and said…”you aren’t going to photograph that are you?” I said that it looked like Kevin Rudd (the Prime Minister of Australia) dancing like no one is watching him. She laughed and said I was nuts! She was so surprised when I sent this to her. The original untouched image was the right arm, body and both legs. It had some lighter colouring on the shirt area similar to what is showing on the right leg. I turned that patch into a shirt using the photoshop liquefy filter which is my all time favourite filter. I also used liquefy to pull out the left arm and the shoes. I added a head and hands and was left with a cute dancer, my sister was very impressed, she now studies chewing gum spots whereve she goes, thanks for visiting. Taken with my Kodak Z8612IS camera
I was born in Northern Ireland and now live in London. I have been a missionary now for 15 years. When We first met Susan on a mission to a rural village in April 2007, she was in the later stages of death. her body was infested with intestinal worms. medicines would not work. I prayed for her in the village, along with two other mission volunteers. We left to continue our journey. But God spoke to me, and We returned that evening and put her in our old battered vehicle and brought her to our mission centre. We continued to pray and command death to leave her alone. 5 days later and God completely healed her. Now as you see, Susan is completely healed. She shares her testimony with us on missions into other villages and many have also received healing and hope. Praise God! Please help us to continue to reach others in need and extreme poverty. My take on Shepard Fairey’s phenomenal Obama Hope portrait for Australia’s slightly lower key leader. Take from it what you will. If you want specific text below it can be done. There are more versions of this vector image, including the same in green and just his head, both look great and if you want them on a shirt just ask.
A sketch I just finished. This portrays the job that angels do for God. For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. / They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone / Psalm 91: 11-12 Angels are ministers of God’s protection for us.
Be vewy vewy quiet….. An honourable tribute to our Prime Minister.
