This is me…. My initial plan was to try and replicate a CD cover (Biffy Clyro, Folding Stars). Due to space constraints (the model in the original is much further away from the wall) I kinda gave up but played around with b&w and noise and got this. Paul
Acrylic on canvas. / This is in memory of my first cat called Skittle. A very prim and proper female black and white cat. I have tried to capture her precise personality in a minimal way here.
Don’t know why, but this one is one of my favorites… I remember I thought I had been lucky to find this swimming-pool empty. Nikon d70 with Nikkor AF-S DX 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED

Acrylic on Canvas / 46cm x 36cm Original for sale – POA I am extremely fortunate to live on a huge, lush estate (in a modest little cottage). Each time I paint outside, I find the incredible greens around me are coming into my painting. With this painting (part of a series), I decided to completely go with it.

I ride alone, lost in my thoughts, taking in the beautiful sights around me. Like a pillar of strength, you appear out of nowhere when I least expected it. Greener pastures on both sides of the fence. You’re shining light gives me hope that blue skies will prevail, and that the storm will just blow over. For I am travelling the long road home. This image was mad eusing a very long exposure of several minutes to capture the surreal effect of time on the seascape. The exposure time shows a world we live in but don’t experience – and tries to engage us with the passage of time. The clouds streak, the sea becomes flat and opaque. Solid objects stand unmoveable as the effects of time occur around them I found the conversion of the image to black and white helped to focus the eye on the movement in the image rather than to be distracted by colours. This pier is to be found at the small Victorian seaside town of Saltburn, in the North East of England I used a ten stop ND filter and a three stop Lee ND Grad to balance the exposure which lasted just over four minutes.
