The Big 30! Today
by Carrie Glenn/ *The Big 30…30,000 views!!! WOW! I’m feeling old!...
/ The Big 30…30,000 views!!! WOW! I’m feeling old! LOL! No really, it’s great…no actually it’s fantastic! Thank you to each and every one who has become a part of my life, my views and even my artwork itself. Here are some of my favorite highlights since the last ten thousand miles… The biggest news I probably have to announce is the publishing of my artwork in “Artists of The West” book! It is a true milestone for me and a great personal success. It was an amazing project to be involved in and over a three year journey. I ended up making some great friends and contacts along the way and really bonded with everyone involved in the book. / After the release of the book there was some really exciting events to follow like the first book signing in St. Helens with the official release. / I am also doing a public book signing, autographs and a special unveiling of three of my new paintings at the Astoria Sunday Market later this month. The Astoria Sunday Market / / (Feel free to shoot me an e-mail if you’re interested or would like more information on the event) Also I am VERY excited to be a part of the RedBubble Rialto Towers art exhibit ironically also on July 27th the same date of my book signing in Astoria, Oregon! My work First Tree was chosen along with 40 other works of art to show in the foyer of the Rialto Towers for a two week art show! I am honored and thrilled to be showing my work alongside the other amazing artists and my RedBubble friends! I was also a part of some wonderful collaborations My collaboration piece Through The Past To The Future with my friend Michael Gatch was a total success and incredibly fun! It was inspired by his photo Through The Past / We had such a good time we did another one… / Apple Harvest which was inspired by Michael’s photo Old Apple When I looked at this work I saw the tree as the point of life that was celebrated and brought people and family together. I wanted to I take it back in time or to another time perhaps. I also had a fantastic collaboration with my dear friend Paul Hobday / I was really inspired by his photo Twisted and had a vision of what eventually became…The Other Side Of The Fence my newest work. Again THANK YOU to each of you who took the time to view my work, comment on my work and invest into me and my career. My art work is the road in this life that I have chosen to make a living on and really…it is my life. In each painting or drawing I create I try to leave a bit of myself to be shared with another person. / Thank you so much for supporting and embracing me and one of my true loves…art!

This cartoon is a funny (cheeky) 50th birthday card for a woman (your mum, sister, aunt?) reaching the 50 milestone. It adds a little humour to the ageing process which can be anything but funny!

Because You Loved Me / by Celine Dion is a song that sums up 23 years with my soulmate, our Anniversary is Saturday… For all those times you stood by me – For all the truth that you made me see – For all the joy you brought to my life – For all the wrong that you made right – For every dream you made come true – For all the love I found in you – I’ll be forever thankful baby – You’re the one who help me up – Never let me fall – You’re the one who saw me through through it all… / (chorus)You were my strength when I was weak – You were my voice when I couldn’t speak – You were my eyes when I couldn’t see – You saw the best there was in me – Lifted me up when I couldn’t reach – You gave me faith ‘cuz you believed – I’m everything I am – Because you loved me… / You gave me wings and made me fly – You touched my hand I could touch the sky – I lost my faith, you gave it back to me – you said no star was out of reach – You stood by me and I stood tall – I had your love I had it all – I’m grateful for each day you gave me – Maybe I don’t know that much – But I know this much is true – I was blessed because I was loved by you… / (Chorus) / You were always there for me – the tender wind that carried me – A light in the dark shining your love into my life – You’ve been my inspiration – Through the lies you were the truth – My world is a better place because of you… / (Chorus) / I’m everything I am – Because you loved me /

Hey everyone! Just thought I’d share a few recent developments with my fellow bubblers! Okay… here goes. My piece Woodland Moonlight was featured in the Shoot To The Moon group. Rain Lust was featured in the Raindrops group and Mystical Snowflake was featured in Icy Cold. Thanks!! Eternal Embrace has recently surpassed 1000 views, and Foreign World and Woodland Moonlight will be there shortly. I woke up today to not 1, but 2 wonderful sales. Thanks to Angela Foster for buying a card of Angel Dust and to zeegell for purchasing a framed print of Balance of Blue Confusion Thanks a million to both of you! Your support means the world to me. Oh, and I’ve finally got my camera back (it’s been broken/out for repair for the past 2 months) and I’m back in the swing with fingerpainting. I’ve dabbled in it (pardon the expression) a bit in the past, but it really seems to be working out for me these days. And thanks for all the recent comments/favs on my art and poems. To all the Canadians out there, happy Canada Day!! And just for good measure, check out this amazing painter. Update: How could I have forgotten? It’s been a year since I joined the bubble. And it’s been the best creative experience ever. When I signed up I never thought it would still be a daily part of my life. It’s really fascinating to look back and see how much I’ve learned and grown. Thanks RB for a fantastic year! Looking forward to a second year.

Hello everyone, How time does fly when one is having fun! It is hard to believe that it has been five months since Gracey invited me to join RB. If you have taken the time over the past months to look at my portfolio and/or comment on my images, I want you to know that I truly appreciate it. It means so much to me. Even though I don’t respond back with individual comments and thank-yous, I hope each of you know how important your comments are. Have you heard the rumor that I serve cheese with my “whine” when discussing my slow dial-up connection? Sadly true! :D Soon after joining I quickly realized I would need to pick and choose what I would do with my time on RB. With the slow loading images (others and my own), it can be time-consuming depending on the dial-up speed on any given day. So I try to spend most of my limited time uploading my images and commenting on your work. RB is an amazing site for inspiration! Did you know that YOU have inspired me to work harder to improve my skills? This small-town girl didn’t even know that photography techniques such as fractals, infrared, and HDR even existed! I continue to be amazed by YOUR creativity! Do you hear the big round of applause? Take a bow! I am so fortunate to be a part of such a supportive community of artists! Have a blessed and safe week! Patricia

I wish to thank- everyone at rebbubble, all those who take the time to view my work, all those who spend that little extra and make comments. The thought I have fellow photographers, viewing my photoraphs from all parts of the globe, who are so well established in their craft, is to say the least, so enlightening. / I have convinced others to join our community and they are just as “GIDDY” over the site…. I would like to appologize to all each and everyone of you who have not rec’d a personal thankyou; I’ve been away off and on. I see on ocassion, remarks made months ago, feel bad they were not acknowleged promptly…. / So, at this time I wish to thankyou all for making my photography a labour of love… and help me strive continue to find images, that will warm your insides, keeping you coming back for more….. even though they are just my photographs…. Thankyou… Thankyou..

Hooray, today I logged on to RB and saw that I have 10007 views! :) This is great news as most of you know because now I can start clearing out images that aren’t doing my gallery any good. So I apologize if your favorite image is taken down. I’m doing the selections MOSTLY based on fewest views and favoritings. So thanks very much to all who have viewed my art. I’ll stop posting braggardly journals now. :) / Nikki

This is a low res image of an Indian milestone – the British built these to open up trade – you could see the next milestone from the back of a camel. It is to celebrate Karin’s 50,000 viewing.

Yesterday I sold my 20th shirt. It’s taken almost 2 months, which is about one sale every 3 days. To celebrate, I’m going to work on another design very soon. I have an idea in mind already. I think it will be for a white shirt. Or black.
