  • Townsfolk turned out in their thousands the 200 riders cross the river tweed on their annual rideout to mark the towns boundaries and to ford the river tweed during the annual week-long Beltane festivities in the town. A thrilling sight however many times you see it… Luckily the river was low and the crossing uneventful… tho divers waited nearby just in case / Nikon D60, Nikkor 18-200 VR lens, UV filter / f 5.6 / 1/125 sec / ISO-800 / exp bias -0.7 / 170mm Really pleased with how this came out as it was a first time really getting my head round the ISO settings… taken at 9pm – no flash…didnt want to scare the horses…LOL…

  • I don’t usually do full-on photomanipulation pieces, but this one has evolved from previous photos and the impressions they evoke for me. The idea is that this process media approach is something far enough away from a photo that I might find on it’s own, there is no mistake between dream and reality … layers are derived from my own photos, and I vectored the ballerina sihouettes from online stock imagery this artwork has been featured in, NO! NO! NOT THE COMFY CHAIR!!! / the story develops /
