  • This is one of my personal favourites, hope you like it too. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——-

  • I actually shot a pellet through the glass, in front of a black paper background, with the camera on timer mode. A home-made switch made with 2 sheets of metal foil triggered the flash when the pellet hit it through the glass, and so the action was frozen. Destroyed 3 glasses to make sure I got at least one good picture, and spent an hour cleaning up the kitchen. The lightning, from a thunderstorm taken out the bedroom window, was added with Photoshop as was the flashpoint above the pepper.

  • My first Zombie-related illustration, but definitely not my last.

  • A little while ago, I too was asked to design something, along with Scott, for some limited tshirt greatness. After lessons learned, coolness achieved, and so I don’t have to go into the witness protection program, I am able to now offer it to you…. on whatever colour you desire….... at the time it was going to go on some Royal Blue goodness – the best colour. The concept, although many and varied in my mind, is one I hope you all dig. it was going to be an oversize, overseam printy goodness DJ i’ve changed this slightly for The Bub tee template

  • Byron Bay Midnight Ocean Rocks © / Vicki Ferrari The most easterly point in Australia! Byron Bay Moonlight Series / Byron Bay Moon © AS IS / Byron Bay Moon ©— This shot is AS IS (bar the signature) and was taken looking down from the lighthouse (tourist area), into the ocean – quite an angle to the tripod! This was as wide as I could get it, considering the angle! See below for more information. Please excuse me for being lazy by writing all of this in one description. It will fit with all the photographs in this series. These images were taken at Byron Bay Lighthouse, New South Wales, Australia back in 2004. The photographs were shot at night, on a full moon, close to midnight, which is why you can see stars in the sky, a passing ship has its light on, and it also explains the lack of bright reflection on the surface of the ocean. The experimental portraits were taken firing my Sunpak 4500DX flash (handheld), often over and over. Where there are two people (I have deliberately blurred the other person’s face, as a courtesy!) in the image, one of them being me, we had to sit very, very still (difficult for me to do!!) – not smiling (or talking, again hard to do!) as to hold the same smile for an extended period of time can be difficult and if you move your mouth, you get blur. Of course, this explains why those old nostalgic portraits from yesteryear tend to make you think the subjects weren’t that happy! I will also be doing some creative adjustments using Photoshop but will be including that information in the Technical Data. Hope you like this series! Mounted Print – Byron Bay Moon © / Technical Data / Nikon D70 / July 2004 / Close to Midnight / Tripod / Focal 92mm / F4.5 / 30second exposure / Original JPEG

  • Taken in 2008 / My cat Midnight. Probably the only time she’s ever held that still for me. / And probably the only really good close up shot I’ll get of her eye. I sort of lured her in with the photography light. It was warm and so naturally she wanted to lay in front of it. I think I took this with my macro lens, but I can’t remember. © Jessica Walker

  • July, 2009 / FEATURED IN GROUP: Point and Shooters July, 2009 / FEATURED IN GROUP: You’re Accepted July, 2009 / FEATURED IN GROUP: Flowers Only – Selective Coloring July, 2009 / FEATURED IN GROUP: Light In The Darkness ================================================ / Midnight Blue is a creation of two things. The in ability to leave my camera at home or in the car. The other is my crazy ways of wanting to get that shot…...over & above all. / The natural light was fading fast and with the storm clouds moving in. I decided to get light no matter what. To luminate this flower I used a small Led Pocket light in one hand and my Kodak Digital pocket cam in the other. / Now here is where things when in a different direction. / The Rose seem to glow when the light was put on it. / I removed what was left of the back ground and clean up the rest. I did enhanced the the colour a bit. ( A personal thing ) / This will now have a place in my home. / Sorry Shirley “NOT FOR SALE” Taken with: Trusty Kodak Digital Pocket Cam. / LED Pocket light lumination….... / Post processing: Corel paint shop Pro.
