‘Atticus – ’ said Jem bleakly. ‘How could they do it, how could they?’ ‘I don’t know, but they did it. They’ve done it before and they did it tonight and they’ll do it again and when they do it – seems that only children weep. Good night.’ / “Harper Lee, To Kill A Mockingbird” Open to interpretation – I’d love to hear what you think, and see if i got across the point i was trying to.. / The reference photo was taken by frixen on DeviantART (www.frixen.deviantart.com)

Most know of Pakistan as a third world fanatical Muslim country full of terrorists. I have lived in Pakistan, my parents were born and raised there and though it has its many faults it also has its many beauties, its many treasures and many things that I love and cherish. At Work is a picture of my maid, Sakina in her small and modest home where I captured her hands as she used two rocks to grind herbs and spices to make that nights meal. This is a method still used in homes where a mechanical grinder is a luxury and not a necessity. According to Sakina and her mother, herbs ground on a rock maintain the rich flavors that are often lost by all our machines.

When I travelled end of May 2006 between the cities Konya and Beyşehir in Middle Anatolia (Turkey), I enjoyed to be in this wonderful landscape. © Photo and text by Jens Helmstedt / Editorial Use License Greeting Cards and Wall Art Prints for Sale
This painting is yet another example of why I think it’s better that I stick to the illustrations and leave the “fine arts” to others. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think it’s worse than a Jonas Brothers album or anything, but…well…it is what it is.
The River of Dreams In the middle of the night / I go walking in my sleep / From the mountains of faith / To the river so deep / I must be looking for something / Something sacred I lost / But the river is wide / And its too hard to cross And even though I know the river is wide / I walk down every evening and stand on the shore / I try to cross to the opposite side / So I can finally find what Ive been looking for In the middle of the night / I go walking in my sleep / Through the valley of fear / To a river so deep / Im a searcher for something / Taken out of my soul / Something Id never lose / Something somebody stole I dont know why I go walking at night / But now Im tired and I dont wanna walk anymore / Hope it doesnt take the rest of my life / Until I find what it is Ive been looking for In the middle of the night / I go walking in my sleep / Through the jungle of doubt / To the river so deep / I know Im searching for something / Something so undefined / That it can only be seen / By the eyes of the blind / In the middle of the night Im not sure about a life after this / God knows Ive never been a spiritual man / Baptized by the fire, I wade into the river / That is running to the promised land In the middle of the night / I go walking in my sleep / Though the desert of truth / To the river so deep / We all end in the ocean / We all start in the streams / Were all carried along / By the river of dreams / In the middle of the night Billy Joel

Rosh Hanikra is in the northwestern corner of Israel, on the border of Israel and Lebanon. The white chalk cliffs offer a spectacular panoramic view of Haifa Bay, the hills of the Galilee and the Mediterranean. The grottoes of Rosh Hanikra were formed by the sea chipping away portions of the soft chalk rock over thousands of years. These beautiful grottoes are the main attraction of Rosh Hanikra. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-- / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—--
I think that this one will be great For the resturant / Gods kitchen.. the theme is perfect for that resturant. Acrylic and inks on stretched canvas 1992 / called for the sultans eyes only ..I imagined a secret and royal type middle eastern setting .. and that one of the sultans harem girls had wandered out into maybe a forbidden zone.. there are only certain rooms that the harem girls can go into. ..and certain places not.. / to me this is a real east meets west painting / In my blood runs some middle eastern (lebanese) on my mothers side plus european (scottish and irish )blood on my fathers side .. / some of my work has a real middle eastern / theme or flavour and this is one of them. / $950 au size: 60 and 1/2 cm by 90 cm / This painting has been SOLD..thankyou for your interest . / Linda Ridpath, 8 days ago / this is beautiful, i love the blue colour here!!
