  • Digital art, drawn with the mouse inside of Windows MS Paint program. This was my ‘first’ abstract snake. I remember feeling really surprised that it came out so well?! I drew another two abstract snakes which I also uploaded to RedBubble; those works didn’t come out too badly, neither; though, I have to wonder why each time I draw a snake it seems to come out looking ok; when, in reailty, the snake is a subject I do both fear/hate! I think, I choose to draw snakes for mainly 3 reasons… 1) I’m deeply afraid of snakes. And, for me, at least, art is therapy; namely, it allows you to both express/and, so, get to confront your fears/phobias. They say that we can never ever learn to conquer fear by merely running away from it; as the more we run, then, the bigger the fear seems to grow! Thus, step 1, in learning about how to deal with phobia is to go and look at either a still drawing/or, a still photograph of the object we fear. 2) Sometimes, I suffer snake related nightmares. I read it inside of the Dreambook; that whenever one dreams of a snake(s); then, it means you have a ‘traitor(s)’ around you somewhere; thus, to me, the snake indicates enemy/’traitor’. I also feel there are many false friends/or, openly jealous/envious/mean and greedy people who you can run into in life; people who seem to want all that you’ve got; without giving you anything worthwhile back in return. 3) A part of me admires the snake; for it’s beauty/strength/suppleness/vigour/camoflague.

  • He speaks in a language you don’t understand, he silently (and sometimes not so silently) mocks your mediocre knowledge of all things computer, and has acne in places where human beings shouldn’t get acne, he’s your companies IT guy, and now he’s dead. (Don’t cry too hard.) What’s that attached to his arm you ask? Well, it’s BORG technology silly. (Proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that those 9,000 hours of Star Trek viewing were anything but a complete waste of time).
