This black ant has dull golden hairs on it’s thorax, bright golden hairs on it’s bdomen and a pair of strong spines at the rear of it’s thorax. With one segmented waist and a pair of spines these are quite interesting to watch go about their ‘work’.
These are the dried up flowers/seeds from the Wattle tree out the front of our place.
