Paddington, a Turkish angora, is a very curious cat. He loves to look you in the eyes with his one blue eye and his one amber eye, but he keeps his distance. The mis-matched eyes are a common trait in Turkish angoras. His littermate, Bones, is deaf, another trait that appears in Turkish angoras. Both are rescued cats. “The Eyes Have It” was featured in “Cats and Dogs (1 per day)” in April 2009 and also in “Domestic and Pedigree Cats” in April 2009.

Watercolour paper 24×30” / from….. / Memories of My Grandmother Series…......When I was a very small boy in Texas, we lived maybe a quarter of a mile from the “Monte” (the Woods) I would go with my grandmama, to the monte to pick wild cherries and flowers, my Grandmother loved flowers, and Roses were her favorite, Funny how I still remember that after all these years. She has been gone now for 30 years this September but I still remember her and going to pick flowers and wild cherries in “The Monte” like it was yesterday, and it makes me cry…....She was the sweetest, kindest, most generous, loving / soul that I has ever encountered, in all my travels through time and space, and I know she is still with me, and still looks after me. / One bright sunny day in the monte I saw these beautiful, (even as a child I couId recognize beauty, I guess I have always been an artist), didn’t know what kind of flowers they were, and I called my grandmama, and was about to pick them, when my grandmama, said No, don’t pick them….for they were “Wild Roses” supposely rare. She said they were free spirits that grew in the wild, and someday mi hijo, (my son) I will be like them. Still makes me cry…...

..this lil’ design remindz me of a Tartan ‘Tammy’ (Cap) my Scottish blood-lol! O’er the sea to Sky .A tam o’shanter is a Scottish bonnet worn by men which was named after the character Tam o’ Shanter in the poem of that name by Robert Burns. The bonnet is made of wool with a toorie (pompon) in the centre, and the crown is about twice the diameter of the head. Originally they were only made in blue because of the lack of chemical dyes, and were called “blue bonnets”. They are now available in plain colors or in different tartans. .....
