  • I’m thinking this may be what’s called a ‘groyne’ .. (new word from the bubble) hit twice daily by the power of the sea in Mexicos’ Playa del Carmen, and lit by the sinking sun. Part of much needed coastal defenses it helps prevent sandloss and erosion on the inland side..especially important as hurricanes can play havoc with currents ad movement of sand.. Captured with a Nikon coolpix compact E4800 its a small apology for a wave but a great excuse to flag up some exceptional wave watchers with unbelievable work..
