Abstract sculpture captured in black and white
Yorkshire sculpture park statue in sepia
This great eagle sculpture of metal feathers is tethered to earth by a metal pole in real life. Last year, an artist friend suggested that it would be neat to lose the pole; so that is what I did with the clone brush, digitally of course. I still have not been able to determine who the artist was that crafted this great piece of metal art that beautifies the landscape of a bank in Denton, Texas.

This is a picture of a sculpture of a man sitting on a bench i came across while roaming the roads of Downtown Disney. I loved the colors and the textures and rather than zooming out and getting him with his book and bench i preffered to zoom in on his face with a very close crop. / /

Melbourne people will know this one at Fed Square- looks like a huge bunch of red metal sticks waving slowly in the breeze. / (Double exposure Holga).
In Kennebunkport, Maine there was an art gallery that sold all kinds of copper wind sculptures. The lines and shapes in this intrigued me. The sky was white that day, so I thought that it would be awful for photo taking. However, I was glad that it gave such a spare and sparse background for this particular shot.
Now thats some kind of bull! A sculpture that is on a County Road outside of Johnson City, Texas.
A garden scelpture with the ASL sign for I Love You.

Part of a gate at the Art Museum in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. / Through this gate was a wonderful sculpture garden but it was locked at this time of the day. I think this great gate was part of it and I call it fishgate because this section reminds me of fish…the pincers of crabs, the fish bones, the fishnet stockings, the seablue colouring….see what I mean. I’m really not sure if that’s the idea but to me it’s a fishgate! Featured in Out Of The Blue group, RedBubble, June 2009 / /
An interior shot of a work by Winter/Holbert at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Constructed from metal mesh and sheet metal, this large two storey structure stands on a ridge looking over the landscape and can appear to be transparent or solid as one moves around it. The interior is a mazy mix of passages and a spiral staircase and quite claustrophobic in some narrow parts. / Best viewed large.
This is the giant face which is turning heads in the centre of Lincoln. The sculpture, the work of artist Rick Kirkby, has been placed on the large end wall of the Drill Hall in the city. It takes the form of a large metal face, welded together from small strips of stainless steel which will look out towards the main entrance of the venue. This wonderful sculpture lit with the lunchtime suns rays splintering refracted shards of light and shade all over the redbrick wall the metalliic visage was fixed to. This design was created from a photograph I took earlier today of a Bronze sculpture by E Paolozzi created back in 1989. The Sculpture is entitled ‘Master Of The Universe’ It depicts Sir Issac Newton. Thought it might appeal to heavy metal fans!! / 08/11/09
Both “Essence…” and “Abstract in blue…” have the same origin; a metal garden sculpture. My objective was to capture essential lines, a sense of intimacy, a world all its own, personal to each viewer, a path. note: Abstract in blue has sold successfully and hangs well matted in black or framed as shown. Each has a painterly quality purely based on light result of the “opaque” metal reflections. / / Pair with… /
