A few weekends ago I went along to the Back Alley Atelier exhibition at the Brunswick Street Gallery. My favourite piece (it was difficult, there was so much amazing work!) was this one by Chris W , ‘A Spartan Future’: / / / / It was spiky, shiny and mask-y, so I was inspired to create a beastly version…watercolour, pen, chalk pastel, silver leaf on canvas. He is 31×31cm. / / I’d like to invite speculation as the to purpose of the eye-piece. Telescope? Night vision? Infra-red? Maybe some kind of cool kaleidoscope thing. / / / / This angle shows the silver leaf parts: /

I Love this work,I had so much fun creating this art work , we all have been a FOOL or know some one who is a FOOL in our life time. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / Rhana Griffin / wrote a great Poem also called the FOOL , I love it and goes very well with this art work . / , Thank you Rhana , please do visit her site to see more of her work. / THE FOOL In the corner sits a fool, / her head, once held so high / now hangs between her knees / as hot tears of shame / fall silently to / drip onto her feet. In the corner sits a fool / her golden locks, / once tossed in confidence / now fall victim / to the rough hacking of the / shears held in her hands. In the corner sits a fool / the flowers of praise / once heaped upon her / now lie dead, turning to dust / borne away on the winds / of her own self disgust. In the corner sits a fool / her fine raiment / once worn so proudly / now ripped to shreds / by the talons of the many / whose den she accidently stumbled upon. In the corner sits a girl / broken but… / never beaten, / who belatedly realises / she has been played for a / fool Her tears now spent, / she raises her head defiantly, / fixes a baleful stare / upon the cause of her suffering / and whispers… / never again

Acrylic and metallic paint on canvas, 46” x 38”. This is a commissioned abstract work for a client re-staging her home for sale. I created this expressionistic piece to tie a black, white and tan gallery art wall together and to become the focal point of the room. / I call the work “Outside The Lines”, in that the strong black lines create structure and balance and yet the color does not conform to the boundaries. The wild movement of the colors contrast and create chaos within the design of symmetry.

...The Bad Moon Rising. ....Words that I often saw when I was growing up. This rail was down my street, located by the old ferry. These words were spray painted in the summer of ‘85. It was a celebration of graduates in Miramichi, they had a huge party and made bonfires… / This place was also very special to me, as I would often go there, sit by the river and write poems. *All proceeds of sales are donated to the Hope Animal Shelter Please check out my other gallery here at RedBubble, Macabrecat , for my cat photography. Still Life Photography: / Water Photography / Flower & Plant Photography / Abandoned / Windows & Doors / Portraits / Statues/Cemeteries /
