Addiction, a word we all know. A recurring compulsion by an individual to engage in some specific activity. Surrounded by a society filled with victims we deal with in every day of our lives. . A term often reserved for drug addictions it is sometimes applied to other compulsions. It is often the gilded cage of our own creation. I have long held a fascination with the sinographs of Chinese Writing. To be even reasonably fluent in this script one must memorize from 3 to 4 thousand of these detailed logographs. A Kangxi dictionary contains approximately 47,000 distinct characters.

Was playing around with lighting and shadows here. This is a pencil/pen holder. The kind of thing you find on a desk full of various stationary. Just trying to experiment with light placement and the resulting shadows, as well as the way it all effects the feel of main subject.
