  • From the film days, 35mm Yashica Electro-X -TL, golden cast assisted with amber filter, one of those creative moments, the Mesa Verde ruins of Southern Colorado are a sight to behold, in five hours we only saw a portion of the dwellings, as well, spent some time at the information center, would like to go back and do a digital shoot, the first experience was memorable, that could be possible come July, where I’ll be on vacation! Oh well here I am off to 6 months ahead of myself, Hope you enjoy the moment! some of these structures have been dated back to 1200 A.D. there is a continued effort to this day to discover many secrets of the Anasazi peoples. this particular structure was called (the square tower house).

  • Anasazi cliff dwellings,Mesa Verde,Colorado(ancient architecture)

  • Mesa Verde – Colorado Mesa Verde is best known for a large number of well preserved cliff dwellings, houses built in shallow caves and under rock overhangs along the canyon walls. The structures contained within these alcoves were mostly blocks of hard sandstone, held together and plastered with adobe mortar. Specific constructions had many similarities, but were generally unique in form due to the individual topography of different alcoves along the canyon walls. In marked contrast to earlier constructions and villages on top of the mesas, the cliff dwellings of Mesa Verde reflected a region-wide trend towards the aggregation of growing regional populations into close, highly defensible quarters during the 1200s. Featured in AMERICA’s National Parks and WILDLIFE Habitat on October, 2009

  • The search goes on to find any clues to bring out information about this structure as well the many Anasasi ruins, on our visit we discovered the thrill of having a storm come thru during our visit, within minutes the entire area was cast with this facinating Glow of gold adding to the mystique! shortly after this appearence I did remember that in my stash of filters was the tool to help emphasize the golden view. I’ve witnessed from the film days few used filtration within the general photography camera tool complement. now that I’m into recovery of some of my best works in the film period of learning, no doubt to express a finer moment captured, this place at Mesa Verde is one of the favorite views, but the angle is special, because I turned around as we were leaving this particular community, from observation that was a stroke of luck because of the moments offering, hoping you enjoy one of my film days learning experiences, located South of Cortez Colorado 1994 Yashica Electro-X TL
