Thanks to everyone who voted for me in the Challenge Cafe Comp….I came 3rd…WooHoo….I’m stoked. There were 184 entries, I made it to the top 12 and then came 3rd. How cool is that!! And to top off a fantastic day, I just sold a card of “Into The Void” Thanks to the wonderful buyer…Mwaaaa Mwaaaa!! That picture has has 357 views, 39 favouritings, 56 comments and now 1 sale. Thanks so much. While I’m here I’d also like to wish everyone at Redbubble a safe and healthy Christmas…Hope Santa finds you all – I imagine he’ll be very busy delivering Redbubble products all over the world..lol Maybe some are even mine !! Thanks for your wonderful support, comments and especially friendships over the last 6 months, I’ve had a blast and can’t wait for more. Hi everyone, I’ll soon be having a merry little break and missing you all, and I’ll be uploading just one final piece some time today when it’s all finished….but the thing I wanted to bring up with you, was an apology for not being as big a comment/reply person as i usually am. A special thank you.... goes out to all the people here, the ones that i have recently met who have been so wonderful to me, and I’m so pleased for these new friendships that are developing, and also for the old friends who have continued to encourage me and find time to view my works, i so appreciate you… to those who are so busy at this time, I extend my love and understanding, for I know only too well the pressures of life, and that the bubble is a place where we should be able to come to feel refreshed and uplifted and have our creative souls awakened. What’s happened Karin? ......well, I have had a creative flow that just had me up drawing all hours of the night and day, and when not drawing, I was painting (digitally) and even tho I’m at the computer a lot, the work is so long and so engaging over many hours, that really I couldn’t stop… What’s happening next then Karin?. ....well, I’ll be wanting to catch up on all your new works over this coming weekend, and really looking forward to that…..I’ll keep drawing as the mood takes me, but less…. and I’ll be doing those other things that need attending, such as Christmas Cards and tidy house and meeting people for some Christmas cheer… and just basically having more time off the bubble than on I’d say. tomorrow I’ll be out, and Mon and Tue next week I have other stuff on…and by the time I get my Chrissy Cards done, I reckon Santa will be just about on his way… lol Anyway, this is to say MERRY CHRISTMAS I miss you all and want to wish everyone a safe, happy, peaceful time over this busy season…..I also wish you all every success in the coming year, and hope that many new creative projects will be born. I have a brand new creative project which is very exciting with a good friend of mine, she’s a fellow bubbler, but rarely seen in these parts…although we meet for coffee … this is who I’m catching up with next Tuesday…Chris has shot to fame overnight, with recent front page exposure on Yarn Magazine and contributions to same, and with that came a wonderful idea, and I’m in on it….as a little side person, doing some behind the scenes for her… it’s one exciting project, and I’ll talk more about it in the New Year, as the combined collaborative works we achieve will be uploaded to redbubble. But i shall hush and say no more for now… it all adds to the excitement… and suspense :) Merry Christmas everyone, keep safe and stay healthy…...and keep an eye out later on for my latest work, the *Music Box Dancer ... I’ll leave you with a few of my latest works uploaded to redbubble during my frenzied creative time over the last couple of weeks: / / this morning I have been pouring over an ancient scrapbook of mine from my childhood and youth, which i’ve kept under my bed all these years…there were some really meaningful texts in it, which I realise that to this day, I believe in and that’s where a lot of my views on life have come from…things I’ve read and pondered on which have resonated with me as being truth (for me, anyway lol) Friends / How can you call me friend / while showing me only your strengths, / as though to let me view your weaknesses / would lower my opinion of you or make / you less a man. But how can I love you if I do not know you / and how can I know you if I cannot see all of you? / Please do not hide part of yourself from me; / for it’s only when you let me accept your imperfections / as well as your strengths that / we can be truly friends… If you tryly desire to be my friend / you must accept my weaknesses along with my / strengths, / for I shall not attempt to conceal them from you… I cannot be all things to all people… / nor will I try. / And I cannot hide from you the fact that I / make mistakes and am often wrong. I will not attempt to convince you / that I will believe as you believe or perform / as you perform…for this would be impossible. But I will accept you, / if you will accept me…and I will be your friend. But you must accept me as I am…. / for I cannot be what I am not….and / I will not lie to you. / (author unknown) / .....
