Canon 40D – / Portrait in natural light As you know, I am taking a photography course at the moment. / Our homework for this week was to have a go at taking portraits. / Our instructions were to take at least two shots. One shot the way we want to shoot our subject and one shot from the subject’s point of view as how he or she wants to be photographed. / For this assignment my model was my daughter. I chose to shoot her with minimal makeup in natural light. / As her peers are all into reading the Vampire novel – Twilight at the moment and she has recently seen the movie, she chose to have herself photographed in our studio, with red lipstick and a blood red rose. / After we had finished shooting, she jumped into the pool and we took this photo just for fun. / (c) Sooz 2009
