An old 1930’s Mercedes Benz on exhibition at NGV (National Gallery of Victoria) in Melbourne. This car was a V8 had automatic transmission and went from 0 – 100kmph in only 16 seconds! haha how times change! Background desaturated in Photoshop and Gaussian Blur applied to background layer. Car design by Guntram Bechtold, picture shot at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany.
Shot from the roof garden of Crown casino – showing an austere view of the Melbourne cityscape. There were all these cool air conditioning vents and massive cooling towers amidst this very well thought out landscape of hedges…

This is one gorgeous car. The story goes something like this: It once belonged to the mayor of Mexico City who used it as a daily driver. When Nelson Rockefeller found the car it was in horrendous condition. Rockefeller bought it and restored it. William Harrah, in his quest for one of these fine automobiles was not in the habit of inquiring about any specific car in any collection so he made out a personal check to Mr. Rockefeller to purchase the entire Rockefeller collection. There are only five of these beauties left: Two in private collections, two in the international headquarters of Mercedes Benz, and this one at the National Automobile Museum in Reno, NV. Here are more views of this fine car:

I took this shot of the formula one car on back of a truck, and then used the road in my street and clouds above my place to make this photo image.
My first really wet F1 GP. Conditions were very tricky. One big (and only) bonus with the rain is the great spray and reflections it creates. I took this photo at the end of the long back straight of the Shanghai circuit, where the cars go from +300km/h to about 80km/h…. Photo Taken: 1-Oct-2006 / Time: 3pm / Conditions: Humid with Showers
Captured this shot a while ago, and have always been meaning to do something with it. I ran it through the Fractalius plugin, and then tried to apply my version of the Orton effect. To me, this image looks very “dream like”, sort of the image one might recollect from a dream they may have had. My art with 1000+ views
This photo was taken while I was traveling through the back streets in Paris this summer. The black and white version of the photo with touches of red definitely makes a difference from the original, I feel that it makes certain things stand out that you normally would not see.
The city of Melbourne in Victoria and the suburb of Fitzroy where old Australia still exists.
This highway shot was taken mid-morning from the open (passenger) window of a moving four-wheel-drive, or SUV, in northern India, on the busy road from the capital, New Delhi, to Dehra Dun, in mid-December 2007. This is a quintessential “Indian road trip” scene – a truck stop where long-haul drivers pull over to stretch their legs and to buy fresh, healthy food from a mobile vendor pushing his wares on a simple two-wheeled cart covered with thick red plastic sheeting. The Tata Mercedes-Benz truck is a familiar scene on Indian highways – and has been for decades. The lettering on the truck’s tailgate says “Horn Please” – mandatory signage for these vehicles! It’s also interesting to note that the tailgate is still held in place by a clearly visible metal chain, which suggests that the truck must be an old model, with thousands of kilometres on the clock. The man with the white beard is the vendor and it looks like sweet potato is his staple offering. The other three are obviously customers and judging by the bulging cheeks of the man in the orange turban, the food is good! The little details say so much about the vendor’s capacity to improvise. His metal tub storing the fresh vegetables is anchored in place by a small rubber tyre, probably from a motorcycle, scooter or an auto-rickshaw. To provide even greater stability, the handles are tied down with slim coir rope. His green plastic cash box with the day’s takings sits on something very interesting. The dark blue surface is actually a cut-down, upside-down Pepsi crate! *I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. * Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. Alternative Mercedes logo for fictive pizza delivery to the jet-set or someone else. In my zazzle shop you can find the same design showed on different models, colours and the backside printed with logo and instruction. Plus they print larger and their quality of printing is very good! And some others…...

This beautiful old Merc was on display outside the entrance to the Art Deco exhibition at the NGV – absolutely classy, timeless, superb piece of car art.
