i have to fool around with this abit so i can show the drawing but the elaborate cardoard frame im very proud of!silver on gold,silver carefully cut with a blade…i was 17 or 18 during my art class when i did this..memory lane!!

Spider Lily (Hymenocallis) is a genus of plants in the family Amaryllidaceae. It contains 63 species native to tropical and subtropical America. Hymenocallis are bulbous perennial herbs. The flowers have their stamens united to a characteristic corona. Hymenocallis means “beautiful membrane” in Greek. The plants have large spectacular flowers. when i was messing around with the original photo, i saw something within the threshold stops…this then incited me to develop an unusual group of the same image reversed & twisted. also another of the ‘not what you think it is’ shots (like a lot of my work/photographs). the original is actually a reflection of light & shadow across a ceiling in the glare of morning light.
