I was resting in the Fitzroy Gardens, Melbourne when I noticed this scene. Just above was a group of Rainbow Lorikeets yelling at me (also photographed!) but this simple composition stood out to me. There was something old world about the texture and shape of this old tree and I wanted to reveal the detail of it without being so close that it lost its identity and form. Lucky for me the light was perfect for the capturing of such detail… CLICK TO VIEW MY LANDSCAPE SERIES Click to see more of my photographic artwork / Click to visit me! /

This was taken one morning on a ride up Mt.Dandenong in Melbourne. We had just reached an altitude where the sun was coming through the top of the fog that was enveloping the rest of the city. / This was taken just before this picture : Breaking Through ~ / Browse Images by Category : Snow Landscape Nature
Taken on Mt.Dandenong during a foggy morning at an altitude where I was just below the top of the fog allowing separate sun rays to stream through and be caught by the thinning fog. / This was taken just after this picture : Out of the Fog ~ / Browse Images by Category : Snow Landscape Nature

featured in “your magic place” group I came across this at the Docklands in Melbourne. Just on the other side of the hill is the docks development with high rise apartments and offices. From this angle it could be the middle of nowhere! / galleria mancuso / new book – galleria mancuso – images of mine / my calendar series /

A Cow upside down in a tree at the Docklands in Melbourne, Australia. Definitely one of the stranger sculptures out there! HDR in Photomatix, adjustments in Lightroom
Model – Millie Claire / MUA – Cloe Bunter of Makeup by Cloe Pentacon Six TL + Kodak Portra 160VC / I won’t show the digital versions, seems to have caused a little friction on dA ;) Needless to say if you’re familiar with the original Snow White text, you might just know what this is about :D Melbourne’s Parklands have very photogenic footpaths. I believe this was shot in the Queen Vic Park… I dunno, it was hot and there were a LOT of parks. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

Here’s a photo I took from my balcony in June 2009. We are lucky enough to watch spectacular sunsets daily and this was just one of many I’ve managed to capture so I decided to share.. I know there’s plenty of beautiful sunset shots but I love this as it’s from my house :o) / Nikon D200 / 18-200mm lens / Processed in RAW
