a stencil I made of one of my favorite Japanese actresses, Meiko Kaji
Brazilian temperament and the Indian way of waiting
This is a scale model of Murasaki, Genji’s one true love, wearing a kazami kimono (formal dress for the daughter of a noble family). The Kyoto Costume Museum in Japan showcases scale reproductions of traditional Japanese costumes, presented using an array of scenes that visually retell ‘The Tale of Genji’. thanx to the models Betty and Julia!!!!
the design is no completely my own I must admit. I found an image online (not sure who to credit but if anyone knows?) and modified it for a stencil I made. This is the cleaned up version of that stencil.
Detail to perfection. Worth seeing for yourself. Geisha and their apprentices, Meiko, were not prostitutes for those mis informed. These were women payed for their speciality in art, music and converstion. Extremely well educated, these women still exist so save your $$ if you want to have their company for dinner. / Location :Gion corner Kyoto, Japan

real picture.
I’ve always wanted to do this, its a lot of fun placing your head, squashed against the glass, wedged between the cover! but it was fun, the amazing things you can do with technology these days! The theme of my piece is inspired by the song Under my Bed by Meiko / Now my eyes are wide open now that everything’s been stolen / And I’m here to get it back from you / See I ain’t wasting no more time / I gotta take back what’s mine / And what else am I suppose to do / Here I am with my heart on the floor and my love out the door / You should be knocking / But there it goes / I got nothing to show for except pictures I posed for / But I keep them in a box under my bed i just feel they fit with the hidden but posed work and the whole taken theme.
