The place every one knows in the city of Melbourne, Flinders Street Station. Long exposure using the “B” setting on my Diana F camera.
The Federation Bells at Birrarung Mar in Melbourne, near the Yarra River. A forest of bells plays music at regular times of the day, making this place a magical, musical experience.
Like the sign on Buddah says… / ...is it a zen koan? Is it a convention for deities? Another one from the fantastic plastic Diana F
Inbetween the Yarra and Federation square stands a sculpture called Red Centre by artist Kon Dimopoulos. It is a sculpture of several rods of resin which sway in the breeze, also passers by can move the rods. they make gentle clicking, clanking (and other onomatopoeiac) sounds as they hit each other when they move / “It’s really a kinetic work made of a variety of reeds that move in the wind,” Dimopoulos says. / Looking for a different perspective to experience the work, on impulse I thrust my Diana camera into the centre of the rods and photographed an upward looking shot that Ai think gave a rather interesting result.
Someone on Flickr said I should call this “Skyroad”. So there you go. Taken at Tullamarine airport, Melbourne. Note, if you’d like to buy a print, you can buy through red bubble, but you can also contact me by bubblemail and I’ll arrange custom printing :)

Last September the citizens of Sydney had their city taken away from them and asked to keep out for one day so our PM could have a meeting. He thought it best to erected a fence to keep us out and protect his mate Bush. These are a series of photos I had taken around the event.

This portrait was shot using a Mamiya RB67 and Kodak Portra 160NC colour negative 120 roll film. This is a straight scan of the original with no editing. Thank you so much Sophie Shapiro for providing these lovely words by Mary Oliver. The Journey / One day you finally knew / what you had to do, and began, / though the voices around you / kept shouting / their bad advice – – - / though the whole house / began to tremble / and you felt the old tug / at your ankles. / ‘Mend my life!’ / each voice cried. / But you didn’t stop. You knew what you had to do, / though the wind pried / with its stiff fingers / at the very foundations – – - / though their melancholy / was terrible. It was already late / enough, and a wild night, / and the road full of fallen / branches and stones. But little by little, / as you left their voices behind, / the stars began to burn / through the sheets of clouds, / and there was a new voice, / which you slowly / recognized as your own, / that kept you company / as you strode deeper and deeper / into the world, / determined to do / the only thing you could do – – – determined to save / the only life you could save. I took this picture during Amarnath Yatra in Kashmir. Every year Hindu pilgrims go the holy cave at the altitude of 15000 ft. And Muslims helps them to reach there. It’s a one of the good sign of the secularism in India. The Hindu Pilgrims come in search of Moksha, the Muslims earns good Karma by helping them… it’s a search… search for Nirvana.
This picture was taken at Varkala, Kerla. The tourists come, swim in the ocean go back, but the tree stands there… searching for something… very silently. This image is taken on expired Medium Format Kodak Film.

This image is clicked in Jaislmer, once the boy got an idea that he has earned whatever he could by playing the music, he went into an aloof mood and played only for himself. That was his best.
